Not sure what's new with the 1:18 Elite Force gallery since I don't collect planes. Here are those 1:18 unarticulated(boo!) knights and ancient warriors:

They look *great* so I'll probably pick some up despite the lack of articulation. I really hope they do add some in future waves of this.

I can hear my excuses already. "Honey, I need them for the classroom. You know kids learn batter when they have something they can put their hands on." Looks great and I can't wait.

dang!!!!! yes yes yes!!!
1:18 romans!....but funny cuz I talked to the merit rep last saturday at ihobby and i asked about romans and he said that the knights were a test..and romans maybe.

btw has anyone even seen the knights? are they online retailers only? cuz the guy said the mass market won't even recognize this stuff. papo makes some great "collector stuff" like the samauri.

well anyway, waiting is going to be hard but yeah saw that seige tower and catapult and this stuff looks great!!

dang! and i just posted how there was so much stuff out there to get..now there is even more!!!..or hopefully will be.
now i just hope they make enough to go around cuz ill at least get 80 legionaries for a cohort!!!

thanks for the intel!!!

I'll have to get the Romans, should they ever appear. One just doesn't spend years studying that civilization and visiting its remnants only to not collect the figures!

Well..

The Knights are out so someone who is excited about them has to buy some and give a review.
I like the Archer - a few of him lined up could be cool. 8) Shame they're not even like Dragon figs with limited but some articulation, or removable limbs.

Apparently the Knights have been out in Europe for a long time. They are just new to the North American market. The Romans and Civil War are new, new.

Does anyone know where you can buy them? I'd like to get a few. One word of caution is that Mike was very specific in saying these were NOT 1/18 scale in that the accesories, eg siege tower, catapult etc are not necessarily accurately to scale with the figures....but i'm sure they'll look good nonetheless. The figures are about 3 1/2 inches or bit taller. The same size as the Scheich knights. I have all the Schleichs and they look good with XD, BBI figures etc. The horses are a bit small is all...nothing major.

listed as 1:20

i just bought a bunch of the bbi knights on ebay. I should have them in a week and a half or so. I'll compare them to the Schleich ones. Watchout if you're thinking of buying these. A few of the figures are posed to be riding on a horse but don't come with a horse. And two of the individual knight figures are the same as the knight figures that come on the horses.....so if you buy the mounted figures buying those two individual knight figures would be redundant.

The ones shown on figures.com are the next series of knights and crusaders plus siege tower, catapult etc. As far as i know none of that has been released yet.

i saw at TRU today a True Heroes castle. Not as nice as the scheich castle but less than half the price and a big bigger. Might make a nice display with a bunch of bbi or schleich knights around it.

another true heroes, knights related find today. I saw a siege tower in the True Heroes line. Looked pretty cool; i'd guess about 16 inches tall. I can't find any pics of it online so it must be rather new. Not sure who makes it....doubt it's chap mei as it looked too realistic for them. To be honest it looked like something power team might make but i've never heard of them doing anything other than modern subjects before.

i can't find anything about them online, anywhere. Very strange. I wonder if they have them in the US yet. They are in blue True Heroes packaging, rather than the normal (for up here anyway) green True Heroes packaging.

These two releases make me think there might be more coming, like catapults, battering rams etc. Seems to be the beginning of a new line to me. It will be interesting to find out who's making it.

saw two new true heroes knight's accessories today. A small battering ram, identical to the one that comes in the siege tower, only with a wheeled carriage. The other is a catapult, very similar in appearance to the schleich one. Both looked pretty good for the price. I'll probably get the catapult....may load it up with some decapitated heads or a rotting corpse...ha.
