Hi All, This thread is in conjunction with the previous thread I started " Corsair Breakdown". My son is working on the base and showcase for the all blue Corsair we repainted to depict the one that is being restored for the air museum you might be able to see under one of the wings the 1/18 scale brick artwork thats going to be two of the dioramas walls. But in the meantime he acquired another one which I tried to airbrush 3 tone ( its been about 15 years since I used it) and a P-47 which he wants to depict as a Connecticut Air National Guard aircraft.

Here is a thread link to how I have made decals in the past. you don't have to stick to geometric shapes with this program. You can add images as well to do nose art, etc. It has been a while since I have made any, but everything should still work the same. One key I figured out is to put light, but full coats of clear on the sheet to cover the ink. heavy coats of clear just don't allow the waterslide decals to work properly.

What is the story on the prop on the P-47? Did you cast one or have one cast? I am wondering because I should be doing some repaints of Bubble tops soon. '

Thanks

Kris

My son "Warbird Kid" forgot one thing about the P-47 prop. When we got it, it came with a Curtiss hub. I had to make a Hamilton Standard hub.
