Those wanting Sidecar combo Motorcycles

Post by steelbonnet » Tue Oct 25, 2005 6:51 am

Hi All,

I`ve not seen anyone else post these on here so hopefully this hasn`t been done already.

As you know i`ve made 2 sidecar combos. Well trawling on ebay last week & saw a 1/18th diecast sidecar combo.

So i took the gamble of buying it & it`s arrived today.

The only stuff on the box it came in is:- "SIDECAR Collection 1/18" & on the make the only sign of makers i could find was "Toys4U".

So here`s a few photos of it.

First 2 are compared to my custom Sidecar combo.....

Right the good thing about this bike it`s mainly plastic which means it`s easy to strip down all the facy stuff for a barebones Military version.
The sidecar too is plastic so reshaping it ie cutting down the rear, making side opening etc will again be easy to achieve.

This is the ebay item I bought & the seller is here if you want to get in touch with him. I now say I don`t know this seller but have just done a 100% successfull ebay deal so that`s all I can say on him.

Hope this maybe of use to some of you guys :D

Bonnet,
The one you bought on e-bay, is it a true 1/18 scale, will a figure fit inside the side car without taking the legs off, I have been thinking about getting a couple of these to customize for a while, I picked up a couple of the 1/18 Die-cast Maybach zeppelin cars a while back to make staff cars but it was impossible to fit a figure into the driver seat, It was a pain in the -%$#^- To customize it so a figure would fit, so I was wondering about the cycles with sidecars.

Hun,

They do indeed look true scale mate & as for figures in the sidecar,if you alter the seat they`ll fit in easily.
A figure can fit in as is but it`s akward. Thinning the seat instead of the luxery padded one works really well.

I actually went & bought a second,so i have my custom 2 & 2 of these now :D

I found a 1/18 cycle/sidecaqr combo with some PTE stuff. I checked out a German 1st series figure and he fit in the side car great. I found a GI JOE figure for a driver, since non of the 21Century figures can bend right to fit on the motorcycle. I will have to post a pic. Away right now. But will do when I return Friday.
