Bf-109G-6 landing gear fix???
I noticed that the landing gear stance on my 109G's is not right...I thought that 21st had fixed the problem with the landing gear on the 109s????? I researched back and found the vid on 21st's website, but I can't get it to play?????

Its a pretty simple mod. Just use some rough sand paper, or some clippers to trim back the part of the tab that fits into the groove on the landing gear strut. You'll only want to take off 2-4 mm of the tab. 21c did say they were going to fix the probem a while back, but aparently that idea got shelved with the new releases in favor of the antenna and improved control surface movement.

I have hundreds of pics/profiles of the Gustav and I have never seen an antenne mounted how 21st did theirs.. On the plus side, they put it right about where the DF loop should have gone, so modifying that won't be too bad..

How 21C came up with such a odd antenna mast is beyond me! Too short, improperly angled and in the wrong spot. They would have done much better to use the same antenna setup they have on their E model 109s. When the rest of the plane is so nicely engineered, such things make you wonder.
I know, I know... there just toys.

I did the gear fix tonight and got the landing gear angled correctly..... I had to take quite a bit off that strut but it sure did make a difference..
Next, I am going for the mast relocate and DF loop addition..

No, they are models. If they were merely toys, about 75% of us including me wouldn't be here!!Rogo wrote:How 21C came up with such a odd antenna mast is beyond me!
