Yes, of course. :-) It'll be easier to ship to, I guess. Could you post some pictures of your previous kits (Horten and/or others) so that I can get an idea of the work involved in putting the parts together?

Awesome. The Force is strong in you, PH. I am impressed. Can't wait for your King Tiger now.
And the Firefly is my favorite Sherman, after the Calliope, so I hope the moulds for that are still
serviceable. :-)

Yes the moulds for the Firefly are still good .

I have made over 30 mods and counting. I have not added the Horten or the 251 parts yet.

Pickel,

Would you consider a full build for the KT and at what price?

Well if I did it would have to be the standard doubled.

There is something like 60 wheels and over 200 track parts. ( I will do full track lengths like I did for the T-34 project )

Regardless that is a lot of parts for the running gear alone.

Plus you would want a nice paint job.

Is a Tiger II worth $700 ?

The bidding went crazy for the Prototype 21st K2.

The lucky guy who won it paid dearly .

I think it sold between $1,300- $ 1,500 !!!!!!!

I've admired all those past custom built vehicles you have made over the years but they were beyond my capabilities to be part of my collection. However, with the KT this tank is a definite "MUST HAVE" for me. Was really saddened to hear that the prior KT that was to be produced never made it to the production stage so I'm glad this tank will be finally made. Count me in!

Again, I think you are shooting your self in the foot Mathew! Armor may be easier to build but putting the kit together and and priming all the resin, sanding, panting and so on takes a long time, much longer than airplanes do for me anyway. I know there is a limit to what people can/will pay but I don't want to see you bogged down for a year painting boggy wheels...

I have started procuring models of the Porsche and Jagd Tigers . I already have the Henschel.

So I am heading in the right direction. I also should have enough styrene to do the job.

I have actually been planing on doing this project since 21st/ Allgo announced their K2. The Jagd anyway.

Years ago I even made my masters for the tracks . They are ready to copy. :D

As I recall I did not have a hard time with the T-34 it just took a little time.

The Horten on the other hand was plagued with timing and building and whining.

Also there are ways to cheat on the 1/18 K2. That is using 1/16 parts and cutting them down.

I actually did that a lot for the T-34. When a part is 10 mm or smaller the difference between 1/16 and 1/18 are fractions . So I will be able to slice and reconnect pieces to make them 1/18th scale down from 1/16.

So by doing that I am hoping to cut off days if not weeks off of the build.

One way or another I will start the K2 in August . Probably with the top hull and turrets.

Once the Henschel turret is made I will use that base for the Porsche. Although they are way different the base still goes into the same hole so I will be 1/4 of the way there.

It took me 3 days to make the T-34/76 turret and only 1 day to make the T-34/85 turret because I used the same base ( although highly modified ).

The Jagd fighting compartment is essentially a box with vents and stuff on the top . With a larger barrel and mantlet. I can knock out a " new " barrel in 2 hours :D :D

So my idea is to have all of the versions at the same time. Hopefully that way you guys will not have to wait for " your " favorite version and sells will be up.

But you guys who want all of the versions will be happy as well.

As far as the wheels are concerned I think that the Tiger 1 wheels are the same as the K2 they just have longer hubs. I need to check that out once the build is under way.

There are ways of modifying those as well

The only issue will be the idler and main drive wheels but I have a handle on those as well. :D

I HAVE been wanting to start this project for years and I have gone over every part on the K2 and know how I am going to make it.

A week or so after I start it I may just ask for deposits like I did for the Horten.

There is no way of knowing how long this project will take. But I know there is no way it will take as long as the Horten.

As far as the Horten I stopped everything else and concentrated solely on the Horten.

That basically shut down any income I could have made . Armor is nothing like aircraft and with smaller mods in between this project I can have income as the project progresses.

Hopefully that will cut down on the crying and whining as the project progresses.:D

I am so ready for this project to start :D :D :D

Obviously the K2 did not start in August but it will start in Oct.

I am almost caught up on all of my orders and the K2 will start ASAP.

Can I get a show of hands as to who will be putting in an order of the K2.

Or you can pm me .
