Euro Exclusive Dora Arived

Post by SuRrEaLNJ » Wed Oct 19, 2005 1:29 pm

I just got my Josef Pips Priller FW190 "Black 14" in the mail today. I have to say im really pleased with this one. I have a "red 3" and "Black 1" and this is easily my favorite out of the 3. The paint aps look really nice on this one, as does the sceme in general.

Just a quick Q tho, did he really fly a Dora, and if so does anyone have any photos of it to compare? When researching it the other day, while bored at work, i could only find pics of his 190A8.

Try searching priller 190D, I had no problem finding models and other info. One website said it was captured as a war prize and destroyed in a crash. I'll have to look further into this.

I also received my 190 yesterday. My cockpit looks incomplete. The instrument panel looks to be missing dials, I'll have to take another 190 down and check. Also the radio loop was not on the control stick. The paint job is beautiful just like the new 109's.

I think all FW-190s were missing the instrument dials - they just never put them in! So you don't have a problem there with the Euro exclusive. The little missing instrument error carried over to the 32x versions as well.

I to am mising the antena I ran home on lunch to see it after i tracked it this morning and knew it was going to be here today. Then posted when i got back to work. Didnt have enough time home to notice that.

And the instrument detail is that way in the other 2 190s i have.

Thanks for the answer on the instrument detail and antenna. I'll have to find something for the antenna. I'm sure a trip to the hardware store will find something. I forgot to mention I like the larger Swastika being sent along. First time I've seen it, is it something new?
