Super News from Al-go on new venture

Al-go announced today that they are going to partner with a "unnamed for now" major toy manufacturer to produce 1/18 AC's and vehicles, 1/32 AC and even some new 1/6 items.

1/18 vehicles will see the long awaited King Tiger and a completely new T-34 and a CCKW 2 1/2 ton cargo truck. AC's to follow the vehicles will be a brand new Aircobra and a Typhoon.

1/32 AC will be a line of twin engine Allied and Axis fighters and bombers - B-25, B-26, P-61, Me-110 and even a Japanese "Betty" bomber.

The star of the new releases (as far as I'm concerned) is a few brand new 1/6 RC vehicles starting with a PZ III, a RC SdKfz 251 and a M-8 Armored Car...... Oh, happy days. :P

All of these items are well past the prototype stage and are in production in a new factory in KwanYouBetta, China. The odd name in a completely new city built around a huge housing project and a Super Walmart and this toy manufacturing plant is the first of four factories producing toys, some kind of 1/1 electric car, 1/1 Chinese armored vehicles for export and a combination infant formula/fertilizer plant.

All these new toys will be released before the end of Summer 2012. The partnership details will be released in a press release within the next 2 weeks.

Great news...

Actually, I posted this thread at 12:06AM, EST, 4/1. I do not know why this forum shows 1 hour less than my Eastern time. All I can say is don't believe everything you read on computers.

Obviously fake. Everyone here knows that if All-Go ever partnered with any "major toy manufacturer to produce 1/18 AC's" their first release would invariably be a P-51D repaint.

Oh, ye of little faith, now I'm insulted and I simply refuse to leak the name of the etailer who will be getting the first issues from this joint operation. I already told my biddies on this forum, so they will be the first pre orders, but now I'm not telling you...so there.

Sorry, but as soon as I saw the word Al-go, I didn't even think about opening the post, just moved on to the next post.

It is now April 2nd. The statute of limitations on April Fools Day jokes has run out. 8)

Enjoy it while it lasted.

Excuse me Hotrod but if you passed this thread by, may I ask how you replied to it? Admit it, you got curious and read it. Maybe I didn't "get you" but you read it.

Would Jack Plonka be the major toy manufacturer :P

The fake Chinese city name gave it away for me, though, like Hotrodrock, I'm pretty much skeptical with anything having to do with AllGo these days...
