Small Scale Military Headquarters

I dont get it, how come in all my other helicopters, the blades snap into place but on the Blackhawk it just slides in and thats it theres no lock in, so thanks to physics, if it spins the centripetal force would make the blade slide out... or in fast RPM moments.. FLY out . So for those out there if you managed to do it, how did you lock down the Blade without using glue? or do i have to resort to using it?

I have only the first releases. If you have the new MH-60, it is possible that they changed some pieces, so... On the old UH-60, I would suggest you to make a 0,8 mm hole (blade in place) into the trapezoidal piece were the blades enter the rotor hub and then push into the hole a needle that you cut on the other side. But I have to say that I've had no unexpected fall of blades when the rotor turns.

I have both the old and new releases and NorwayStar described the way the props insert perfectly. However, I have never had a problem with mine coming out, even when spinning. Blade droop was more of a problem, but it seems BBI used a harder plastic for the blades on the new release.

I may try that drilling one... but i don't really want to drill my heli hub. i like to play with these models especially helicopters simply because i don't need a runway, ima big kid anyway i may try to use Thread Seal Tape and tape around the prop's insert to thicken the insert wedge... maybe i could get it "stuck" where it doesnt fall out.

I like to play with my helicopters, that means rude outdoor displaying them. I'm sure you take no risk to fix your propellers as I suggested you. If you don't have a Dremel or Proxxon micromot, you can also try with an other method I first use when I had not such fine modeller machine: I made a needle red hot to make the holes. It's more hazardous, though. I have 2 or 3 Little bird, their prop blades easily go away, so I had to fix them better. I made these holes and now it's OK.
