a couple of Admiral toys Me-262 questions...new question!
i finally got around to opening my AT 262, white 7 today. Nice model.
Did they come with swastika decals? I can't find any so i presume not but just want to make sure i'm not missing them tucked away somewhere.
what are the two little red circular lights(?) in the plastic bag for?
why does the pilot look like Mr. Bean?

Re: a couple of Admiral toys Me-262 questions
No aferg, did not come with "historically correct" decals.
Cant remember little red lights, will check at home tonight.
Yes, the pilot was an anatomically correct headsculpt of
Mr. Bean.

Re: a couple of Admiral toys Me-262 questions
I did not get any little red lights with mine. I hated the pilot, so I replaced him with one from the MIG 15. Looks really good, especially with the oxy mask, and similar enough to a German in appearance to be passable
Re: a couple of Admiral toys Me-262 questions
the red lights i am referring to are two little circular plastic bits, painted red on one side. I'm not sure they're supposed to be lights, that's just a guess. They come in a little plastic bag which also contains some tiny screws.

Sounds like the "lights" you have could be the screw covers. I know they came separately, at least on my "White 8" ME-262. My plane did come with the historically correct decals, but I've never applied them.
My Admiral Toys ME-262 has been packed away for years - this thread is making me want to take it out again
In many respects, I though the AT ME-262 had some better engineering over the 21c version. There wasn't that awful seam behind the cockpit and only a few major pieces to put together - and those could be easily taken apart. The 21c ME-262 has a lot of the finer details and the overall edge in accuracy, but assembly was a pain and lots more to break on it.

ha....i never thought of screw covers. The back side of them seemed to be detailed and are painted red, so i assumed that was the side that is exposed and was thus confused as to what they were.
How come i got ripped for decals? Doesn't really matter, i have left over 21c ones i can use.
I think the 21c model is far superior. I find the AT one bland. Not even a pitot tube...they could have left off the string antannae and provided that instead.
The inside of the engine nacelles are painted medium gray, which looks crappy.
I'll give them a mulligan on the pilot.
It was cheaper than the 21c offering but for the price they could have given better details (eg pitot tube) and painted the nacelles a better color.

White 8 has the red lights on the tip of the wings. It's a red translucent plastic.

Mine came with stickers to make them accurate.

well mine didnt' but fortunately i had swasis left over from my 21c 262's. I opted to use the white ones, for a different look. Looks sharp. I also painted the tip of the tailfin and nose white and mounted leftover 21c bombracks and bombs under the nose....essentially making a 262a-2a Sturmvogel out of it. I like.
This is one of the 'white 7' AT 262's i got off ebay last year for $27. Great deal that was.

Re: a couple of Admiral toys Me-262 questions...new question
this is about the 21c 262. It comes with 2 small RATO pods (rocket assisted take off). I had never heard of these little ones for the 262, although i am quite familiar with the larger bulbous ones that were used on aircraft like the Arado 234.
Anyway, my question is about the location. It seems to me, positioned under the fuselage on the 262 as they are, that the heat from the rocket engines would badly burn the underside of the rear fuselage of the 262. Why didn't this happen?
