WOW - A new P-38 is VERY much in order. That is one plane where every version is sold out and in demand.
As for the 109Gs, it is getting tricky. BCT does have 2 listed - the CC Rall & the Hackl. However ToyFed and others have a 3d, "Gunther Sahl" repaint. Are two of these the same or am I correct there are 3 109Gs showing up, and BCT right now is only showing 2 (with one in stock!)?

Thanks, that's what I thought. They all look damn cool so I might just have to go out of my element and grab one
All the Luftwaffe fans must be happy with a flood of improved 109Gs. Now let's just hope WM gets some.

My research shows that the 109 G's have the following series numbers.
Graff........s1 Red clown nose
Hackle.....s2 White vertical fin
Sahl.........s3 Green heart
Rall..........s4 Red cross inside diamond
Seaman...s5 #9

Cool! Another famous P-32 repaint! The weathering looks nice, and this will go very well with the upcoming BBI Zero!

wow all these yellow nose undersides......three of them now. They all look pretty similar.
What is the seaman S5 plane? Any pictures of that?

At the Comic-Con, 21st Century had a catalog which showed a series 5 109 G6. I learned that it was Seaman's plane.
The picture in the catalog is about 3/4" by 1 ". About the size of a postage stamp. I have not seen any online pictures of this plane.
The most distinctive feature is the number 9 on the fuselage and on the side of the cowl there is a diamond with some kind of black symbol inside the diamond. There is also some kind of large symbol in front of the #9 but can't make out what it is.
Also... there are no pod mounted guns on the wings

Has BCA mentioned the new P-38? If not I'm surprised. Has anyone dealt with Military Toy Shop before and if so how are they? thnx

yellow nose undersides mean that the plane spent some time on the russian front, right? or was it just another unit designation?
it's raining 109Gs! now what do i do with old clown nose?

for much of the war yellow fuselage bands and yellow under the wing tips meant eastern front service but many home units had coloured identifying markings around the fuselage and nose and one of the colours used was yellow. For sure two of the three new 109's were NOT on the eastern front. Don't know about Sahl variant but i suspect it was not..

thanks for filling me in aferg!
now back to the p38: wasn't it decided that wm wouldn't carry the p38 due to its disproportional box size? that said, maybe this baby's headed for tru in the future with merril and friends.

It seems that the silver p-38s are more favorable than the OD ones.

i like OD ones for Pacific schemes and silver for Europe..
To me the P-38 is more of a Pacific fighter than a European theatre one....so my favourite is still S. Payton.

The P-38s were very popular in both Europe and in the Pacific. I love'em all. Still waiting for "Marge", but I'll take what ever I can get.

I am a Putt Putt Maru fan, but there is a personal bias. That is what my dad called my first car, a 1995 Ford Escort.

I would love to see a silver P-38 with yellow Spinnars and invasion stripes.
