1:18 grass

I made some small dioramas with powder grass and I realized that it is too flat for 1:18. I would like to know of any grass (lengths varying from short yard grass to 2 in. field grass) that I could use for dioramas that would be a good length for 1:18. Not grass mats, grass that I can place, or rather sprinkle on the areas I want covered.
This is mainly for my hoped Normandy Hedgerows diorama so I'm looking for the fitting colors and lengths of that area.
Thanks,
AJ

Hmm Try using some large old brushes, cut the hairs off, glue them in place with white glue, and then airbrush them.
Or give woodland scenics field grass a go!

I have seen some good realistic grass mats.I think it was on buildorama.com
I have seen on youtube tutorials on how to make that grass that buildorama sells.
They use some sort of electricity on the mat so when the grass is applied to the mat it will stand up like real grass.after the glue is dried,it stays up.I never had a chance to do this my self, but i think is very realistic.
The regular green mat that is sold like a carpet may be a more easy and more inexpensive choice but it will need to be painted to make it look more real.I found the bright sintethic green make it look to fake.
If you want realistic photos and you have a photo shop on your computer, try toning down the colors a little bit.It will help to tone down the bright colors on some figures and some vehicles(specially the Germans).

I saw one time someone use hemp rope that they untwined and dyed as tall grass and it looked pretty good.
