I have that old Monogram kit in 1/48 hanging above my head in the classroom as I type. It would be great to have in 1/18.

If you look closely, the sculpt is different it is not bbi's Zero. Also it looks like a smaller scale replica. Maybe M.I.B uploaded the wrong pic...

Thats what I thought too it looks like a much smaller scale then 1:18th I think that just may be a generic Zero picture they found to illustrate a zero.

it's actually an RAAF P-51. Mike mentioned them along time ago. They're exclusives for Australia.

The Zero pictured is actually a paper model. Approx. scale 1/33 I'd suspect as most are...

Well, as stated when announced, the Zero is NOT A BCA exclusive. The paint scheme was a BCA exclusive, but I suspect there will be other Zeros and other channels to obtain them. To BCA's credit, they made it happen.

That green Zero is probably an Australian exclusive - very much like that F-18 and P-51 seen earlier. The paint scheme seems more like one that would be found on the A6M5 Type 52 model as opposed to the A6M2 that BBI is producing. Either way, I'm just glad that our version of the Zero is coming next week!

Yeah but unfortunately Australian shops sell bbi and 21st Century stuff for way too high... usually at least twice US retail price!

well i dropped by the ihobby show and surprisingly Merit was/is there yesterday and today and showed the BBI 1:18 green zero and the rep there said that this model is the "mass market" model - not in terms of quality but in terms of retailers. so we should see these in TRU. and the "white version" is a BCT exclusive.
sorry i wasn't expecting much from the show (that was relative to our hobby) so i didnt bring a camera and i don't have a camera phone)
