Wonderful stuff if you can afford it. Makes Tamiya look cheap. I'll stick with BBI & 21st, however. Best value for the money and their stuff "aint to shabby" either!

Looking forward to your scouting trip! Interesting to see what a painted Avenger will look like.

Can't wait for the release...I have 'deck' space for three of them!

Roger that! I just heard from 21st that they do indeed have production sample painted Avengers at the iHobby Expo in LA! pictures are on the way via our buddy P-51! Looks like we are going to be neck deep in Avengers soon!?

Look for more coverage of iHobby Expo on AREA-21.

That Flight 19 Avenger looks AWESOME. A must have even for a groundpounder like me :D

Aren't we always saying patience is a virtue? That in this hobby you need to learn to wait? That we have been waiting 5 years for some stuff? This looks worth a 2 year wait. :P

WAY TOO COOL! (thanks again for the tantalizing photo!) I can't pick a favorite! They all look good!

I'm looking forward to seeing them on the 21st Century website. They do keep things updated on the website with new stories, releases, etc. I'm sure the Avenger information will be VERY popular!

Things sure are getting exciting again!

Holy Madre de Dios!

I think we are getting close to this long awaited release. My favorite is the middle one (its the most representative Avenger scheme) but they all look awesome! Isn't the atlantic (grey) one supposed to come out first, or is that speculation at this point? (Like the Hackl 109G being touted as the S1 variant, but then we get the Graff.) It would be cool to get one or two out at the same time so we have some choice on paint schemes! Can't wait!

I guess I'll see about SBP; I preordered an Avenger way back then. (I doubt it)

BTW: I put some neat Flight 19 links on the Reference Room forum. Enjoy :)

Oh my dear Lord! It is gorgeous!

Question is: How many to get!

I think we've been waiting a long time for this release and it looks like it will be the best ever.

Here's to hoping this will come soon!

Cheers,

P-51! We all owe you a big hand for the photo help! AREA-21 couldn't make the iHobby Expo but our good buddy Britt helped us out by doing recon for us on this one. I have a bunch of Avenger pics from P-51, I just got them all downloaded so I am going to put them up and publish all the photos to AREA-21 tomorrow afternoon! So check them out and come back to chat on the boards! I gotta say they look amazing in color!!!!!! I can't wait till they are in my collection. See you all tomorrow. And please a BIG hand to Britt (P-51) for bringing us these photos.

Hand to Britt first, then a hand to wallet.....to wallet....to wallet

"I just want to thank you all for the renewed popularity you are showing us and.....huh...now what Emma?"
"Sit down Steed, they're talking about some other Britt and some other AVENGERS."
"Oh...."

Beautiful pics. Looks like they had to compromise on the torpedo doors. The real ones had a double fold in them when opened. I guess it was just too fiddly to duplicate in this scale. Too bad.

Otherwise a beauty.

Man, BEAUTIFUL!!! Thanks for the pictures...... I'm going kookoo for Cocoa Puffs!!!

The doors don't bother me that much. I know I would be swearing at them like the Corsair's flaps. Anyways, it wouldn't take much for somebody to mod them to fold.

They look absolutely delicious!! :P
