Hi All,

Well here`s something i`ve been doing Very slowly. As it`s scratch built I`ve taken my time.

Well as said i`ve done a scratch built one which actually is almost done.Just need to sort out the headlight, catterpillar tracks (Any ideas?).

Anyway here`s my Krad at 1/18th scale.

Well for a brief rundown on it. Plasticard,Balsa wood,M2 bradley 1/35 for lower hull.Wheels made of cardboard. Front forks & wheel a Harley.Paperclip for frame work on passenger sides.

Well as said any input on the tracks would be appreciated as they have to be very thin. I`m thinking either using links from a 1/35 armour piece & modding them & connecting each link. Or maybe just use Elastic bands. So please options :D

Well let me know what you think so far :D

I wish I was as slick a modeler. 21st has it in 1/6. I wish they would do it in XD. It is just such a neat piece.

WOW I`ve never seen that one before. That`s very nice & great use of the 32 line for wheels & tracks, never thought of that.

Thank`s very much for sharing that I`ve saved & added to my libary of customs by other collectors.

Also Thank you for the kind words on my work so far.

Also Centone, Some wonderfull stuff in your album mate just wonderfull.
Love the scarring on the Jerry Officer & the Soldier.
Excellent work mate.

Well, it looks like your well on your way with it. Nice job so far. Perhaps when completed, you can persuade a toy maker to make & market it for you. In XD of course. William Britains has a nice "Krad" out now too in 1:32. Also very nice indeed. I have 2 of these myself.

MG-42,

Thank`s very much mate & if only i was good enough for the manufacturers to listern too. Would be nice to see more WWII Armour & softskinned vehicles at 1/18th. As there is a fair amount of modern now. We need more WWII though :D

Hopefully once this is done & painted it`ll get some positive comments though i`ve always been surprised 21st didn`t do this at all.As already said they did the Krad at 1/6th,though same could be said the sidecar motorbikes too.

I believe you are. You already have a basic blue-print for it. Especially when completed. Their is already a demand for more "new" and "exotic" vehicles. By the way, the Falschirmjagers presented are a very accurate example, only it seems as though one of the riders hand, has been amputated. Ha,..ha !

 Steel, how did I miss this post :?: That krad looks great! I hope somebody at 21st or BBI is seeing this as well. I think they need to do a poll of new products. As for the tracks???? I'll look into it. Nice Work SB

Thank`s very Much Normandy, truely appreciate the kind words mate.

Someone who knocks out the armour you do,truely appreciate it mate.

I look forward to hearing what you think may work for tracks.

I`m starting to lean towards using the 1/32 tracks as done on the krad that Centone showed us (shame the person who actually did it isn`t known or said anything if on this board).

Though my other option is reworking the 1/35 STUG III tracks I have (individual links) & then using them.

Still though mate love to hear what you think may work for the tracks.

You've got a great start there!

For tracks, I might look at a 1/35 Panzer I or Panzer II kit. I don't know if they're too narrow or not though.

Hey guys, that was my custom I posted about a year and a half ago. I took the Masito WWII motorcycle and the 32x German Prime mover and kind of merged the two together. Thanks for the kind words I built it in anticipation of the 1:18 Me-262 coming out... Well as with most things I'm still waiting... hopefully she will have something to pull soon...

If you are interested in using the 32X prime mover I used it because the road wheels and sprockets were really similar to the 1:1 version. Also the prime mover has the tow hook and an undercarraige that may not be correct but looks good... let me know if you would like more photos

Hi David,
I think going from the posts here on my scratchbuilt Krad & your`s too,Posting more would be great. Moreso as you did your`s in a way that most could actually do a lot easier than total scratchbuilding.

Anything that makes life easy for us all eh :D
