21C PBR prototype?

Post by tderespino » Sat Oct 08, 2005 7:25 am

Hey guys,,,

I was just looking at the specs of a real PBR on a website and it stated the boat was 31' long,,,if I do my math right the 21c prototype would need to be about 50"....could this be one reason we will never see it??

anyone have the link to that old toyshow photo??

it would be just over 20 inches long. We may get a chance of seeing it if they do the Platoon line...they probably have a lot of old Vietnam prototypes that they could use.

Thank's C,,,,too bad there is nothing in the pic for scale, looks a bit short. I have been thinking of making one for years with a RC hull and some spare parts, the Twin 50's should not be too hard,,,If we don't get some info on the platoon line soon I am gonna take a crack at it...tom

PBR

The photos of the PBR are pretty cool. While I'm a Navy aircraft nut, I would go for one of these puppies, too. Pretty interesting... I'll be curious to see if this is ever produced.

I really don't think there is anybody out here that wouldn't go for one of these puppies. Imagine if it floats too. I can almost picture me in the bathtub with it now and some Wagner playing on the stereo. Ah--I love the thought of foamy bubbles and a PBR in the afternoon.

this is definatly the top of my want list, i would love to get a chnace to buy at least one of these, if they ever released it i think i would buy at least 2, but yea i dont understand why they have never released and just generic looking sailors in boondockers and dungerees, seems like it would make sense, but then again they arent making generic troops these days, all the planes and troops are named after actual historical figures so i wouldnt hold my breathe for some sailors to be produced.

PBR

Well, they made the zero, so maybe their is still a chance for a PBR. Personally I have written off any more armor / boats / vehicles from 21st. Hopefully I am wrong.

The PBR would be awesome, especially if it came with a little electric motor or was even RC. Hey, it could easily be done and would probably sell well if reasonably priced!
