Taowan makes metal models. Some good, some with problems. That said, this pic of new models knocks my socks off.
First the CCKW, and then the M-35. I can see the M-35 as a Vietnam gun truck. I've got a drawer full of .50's, gradade launchers, sandbags and gatling guns just crying out to me to mount them in a duece....
Oh, and the modern armored car is nice too...
2012 is going to be a banner year for 1/6..
This is for is 1/18 and 1/6 guys. You know who you are..

Pretty neat stuff
I particularly like the M126 Stryker and the Navy DPV buggy.

Nice. Would have to sell a real car just to make room, though. A few years ago 1/6 was being eclipsed by smaller scales. Now smaller scales are all but gone and 1/6 is getting all the cool stuff.

No word on prices yet. Probably in the $550 to $850 range. All metal, rubber tires.

WOW!

Those look really nice. I was looking at the Scout Car. Amazing.
Those look like prototypes with bare metal and the windows aren't clear.
Mostly pressed metal like a 50's Tonka then?
I imagine heavy but durable.

The Taowan line is sure more than pressed metal like the Tonka. Mostly nice vehicles. Check out "Taowan" on eBay and you will see a good sample of their vehicles.
I can see a couple in my man cave...., especially their Scout Car, which has been sold out for awhile. All their stuff is around if you look hard.
