bbi and WWII...

Well I was looking at the BBI WWII figures and they look great! Cant wait to get them! But then when I was looking at them it occured to me 'Will BBI make weapon sets?' They did it with their modern line and I bought quite a few of those. So will they produce weapon sets for their WWII line? I honestly hope they do, because not every GI carried an M-1 Thompson, and BAR. How about some Springfields, Carbines, Greese, mortars, pistols? Most importantly a .30 Caliber machine gun! Also, lets hope they get into German stuff, cause my Wehrmact troops are in desperate need for resupply! I'd like to see some one produce a Gewehr 43. Maybe even an MG-34/42 with a tripod like they did with the M-249(SAW). If BBI did produce weapon sets for their WWII line I would buy them in great quantities, and I think they would make a real good profit from making these. Now all I gotta do is hope it'll happen!

I hope they do what they did previously which was release 12 & 15 dollar items so maybe we could get some big guns and crew....

one of the figures comes with a 60mm mortar and another comes with a .50cal on tripod. I would think weapon sets are likely too...

WWII weapons accessories would be totally cool! As would smaller sets, I might add. For those, artillery pieces, motorcycles, and a jeep would all be necessary!

I would be surprised if we DIDN'T see weapon and accessory sets. I hope they branch out and don't end up producing better versions of all the same vehicles 21st has made. There's a lot of other WWII pieces that might not be popular with the general public, but would sell to collectors, and bbi has shown they are not afraid of making low-production items.

well... its looking better and better everyday...
but my question is why is it so faded white looking on the sides?
im guessing its suposed to be some kind of weathering of the paint.... but it looks a little funky to me
if its suposed to be winterized... well i hope thats not what it is.
i dunno, looks good, im gonna buy a bunch...
wish the driver didn't look like he was about to break out into hulk rage power or something, but oh well.

at first i thought it was an attempt at a winter white wash scheme...now i think maybe it's supposed to be a dusty weathering?
Many of BBI's previous efforts have looked funky weathering wise in pics but when they are seen in real life they look fine. Hopefully this will be another instance of that..
The paint job is my only real complaint about what i've seen so far. I don't even mind the commander's face. It's nice once and a while to have a face with some expression. I like dead pan faces for the most part but once and a while have need for a more emotional face.
