Bad Cat and BBI are coming out with the A6M2 Zero. the only problem is according to them is they rushed into production on it and forgot one important feature i.e. folding wing tips. so it's not a true Model 21 type 0. Wonder when 21C will come out with theirs and if it will be more to the real thing

20 inches of the wing tips fold up. this was done after the 65th aircraft hence A6M2 Model 21 type 0. If 21C is coming out with the model 32 that is a later version of the model 21 with a bigger engine and smaller wings. Wonder if 21C will have the detail BBI is lacking?

Well...

Since there were no folding wings on the 32 I hope 21st puts other detail like access to the 20mm cannon or even the engine. I think it is time for that type of detail to be the standard on newer planes.

I hope so too, they cost enough. If they can do it on the AH-1H super cobra they can do it on the others. That and quality control. I've purchased 21C planes and basically had to repaint them due to the lack of quality control, especially the Focke Wulf Red 3. Fingerprints up the ying yang on that one.

The Super Cobra is the silent assasin of the line....people are always blown away by that one....it's my favorite piece that doesn't roll on the ground.

I call my computer room the war room. I have 14 1/18 scale planes hanging on the walls plus alot of WWI & WWII figures/dioramas and some 1/6 scale including the remote control M5 Stuart tank. So as you can see my space is getting limited. That's why the Cobra is still in the box, found the perfect shelf for it. One thing I like about 21C is alot of their stuff has a story behind it, like the Stuart. Found a pic of the real one on the net. talk at you later.
