Hi guys,
I'm looking for any style of 1/18, or close, pontoon. Maybe someone knows of a source?
Thanks,
Ara

You could use or modify the bridge made by Powerteam Elite (3 3/4 inch). Too small, too weak for a credible bidge allowing a real tank crossing, but for light vehicles, or so... Is this what do you mean? Or do you want to make a temporary passage for vehicles on a pontonn laying on boats, dingy or so?

Hi granch,
Thank you for the reply. The pontoon I'm looking for would be for a 1/18 model plane. So it would have to look something similar to what a Rufe or Kingfisher used. It's for a project build, not a historical model, so I would entertain modifying a decent looking catamaran pontoon at this point. I would also need two smaller wing float pontoons, again, much like the Rufe or Kingfisher had.
I'll keep looking around; I'm guessing I'll find what I need eventually.
Thanks again for the suggestion.
Ara

You might try RC planes. Found a Cessna, but what scale? maybe modifiable? No side pontoons, but looking at a Rufe it is similar shape.

Thanks Dauntless! 1500mm wings equal about 59 inches. Sounds close to 1/18 to me. I'll investigate further, thanks!

Ara below is an example of the floats I cast for my Rufes. The outriggers are cast in resin with metal struts. The main float I cast hollow for weight and cost considerations.
