1/18 Macchi C.202

21st Century Toys ought to make a Macchi C.202 in 1/18 scale or an Il2 Sturmovic. Both of these planes played significant roles in WWII.

while i agree that they are significant, i doubt you would see them made, maybe the il-2, but not from what the toymakers are saying. if you read anything that either roy, 21st century toys, or mike (?) from bbi says, it's got to have marketability. i think theres a long list that would be made before these are even considered. just my thought.
but we can always hope.

actually, Roy did tell me once that a Macchi 202 had a chance because of its looks and the wide variety of repaints available for it. So i wouldn't say never on this one.

The Sturmovik has little chance, however, historical significance or not. Russian planes don't sell (according to R.S.).

wow, that's very surprising to me. i just can't see it coming before all the other planes, mainly US, British, German and Japanese even. When they talk about selling points, I just don't see it in something like the Macchi, or the IL2. Guess we'll never know what's going on in their minds.......

To heck with the Folgore! How about doing the Macchi C. 205 Veltro (Greyhound).
Now that little puppy could scoot!
Sadly, you've got a better chance of seeing Tonya Harding on a Wheaties Box than seeing either of those planes in 1:18!
Go Starbuck!
