Re: MH-60 NIGHT RAID BLACKHAWK 1:18 BBI
Thanks for posting, but lots of places have this up for preorder now, don't they? Kind of old news... Price is high for sure. I'm down for one as accurate or not, its a new tooling on the Blackhawk as opposed to a repaint and it looks pretty darn cool.

.
I wish those old Target day's came back .
.
I remember the i bought my for 30$ and in the same shelf were 3 more BLACKHAWK and 1 Apache .
.
Now people sell those for 150$ up to 244$
.
sorry but i not up for 150 to 300$ in 1/18 .100$ is OK
.
But I m happy to see BBI Toys still supply 1/18 scale marketing .
.
I don't think the All go Toys will be different in price ,when it came up ,will be big surprise for me if it is not .
.

It seems to me the price is looking pretty consistent across the board for the time being anywhere you go online. The Flying Mule had the lowest price on the F-16 a couple of months back and offered free shipping which provoked a few other retailers to do the same.

Re: MH-60 NIGHT RAID BLACKHAWK 1:18 BBI
I agree prices have risen sharply across the board. Pretty much everything being made now is a lot more expensive than it once was. I have a difficult time paying these prices for items that were once less than half that. I can swallow it on new production items but not the old stuff. This retool is great looking and I would have been a buyer at the $100 mark. Maybe even $120 with fee shipping but as it sits I just can’t talk myself into this one. I kind of felt the same way with the Black Devil repaint but went ahead and bought it since I really liked the scheme. I fear some of these releases will not sell well at these new prices and that’s a bad thing for the scale. I hope I’m wrong.

It's out of my price range.....so the big price gives new meaning to "Black Hawk DOWN".

Don't see how this is worth $170. There are only a few different things compared to the original such as the guns, and FLIR pods.

Since I read that wholesale prices on consumer goods are expect to jump this last quarter I am not to optimistic that 1/18th can make it. btw have you seen the prices of Hotdogs today....

Boy, we hear you guys and we agree about the price points coming out. That said, it's tough as a retailer too these days. Our cost is over $100.00 on these birds, then we have to pay our shipping costs on top of that and then pay a percentage to our online merchant accts as well as other normal operating costs, which continue to climb.
...then we include FREE Shipping. So margins on these NEW items are pretty petite.
Don't get me wrong fellas, I'm not looking for pity just understanding that it's tough on us retailers to compete for your business when all said and done the average etailer can't even make 20% on an over-priced Blackhawk. We long for the good ole 21st Century Toys days too!!!
Dependability, friendly customer service, price point and knowledgeable staff are usually what will set one etailer apart from the other. FoxholeToys.com has its fair share of loyal customers, as do many others we're sure. It just takes so many more customers to eek out a buck these days while at the same time the economy and price increases may tend to limit valuable customers and so the cycle goes.
More food for thought. Cheers, Matt

I agree. I certainly understand why prices go up, but this just seems out of line to me. I think BBI is just testing the market to see what they can get away with. (They are about to find out - not this.)15tango wrote:Don't see how this is worth $170. There are only a few different things compared to the original such as the guns, and FLIR pods.
I could definitely understand if it was a new tool (such as an A-10).
BTW, release date has been moved to February 2012 now.

Re: MH-60 NIGHT RAID BLACKHAWK 1:18 BBI
No, but it isn't something they would tell me about until they were ready. Even if I knew something, it would have been told in confidence and I wouldn't be able to repeat it, but nothing has been said to me.aferguson wrote:Corey: have you heard any rumblings from Unimax about making any new 1/18 Bravo Team armour?
Seems like it would be a good opportunity for them. They have some presence in Target stores already. BBI doesn't seem serious/motivated. All-Go can't get it together. Etc.
