The going price for these on eBay is around the $200 mark. If any online store carries them, it won't be cheap. You could try the BST forum once your 6 months are up, there should be someone able to help you out there.

21st only released the grey kubel with the S1 articulated driver figure. Motorworks has since released two diecast versions: one grey and one in a camo scheme, but these are also expensive.

I wish you luck on your search for a kubel!

To ammend...

21c only ever released the gray Kubelwagen (2000-2001) which was a Toys R Us exclusive, hence its rarity. I want to say they originally cost $15-$20, but now easly go for a whole lot more. The 21c 1:6 scale Kubelwagens often go for cheaper than the 1:18 ones. There was never a diecast version from the Motorworks line from Wal Mart.

The diecast Kubels were released by Minichamps. They had a gray and cammo diecast version of the Kubelwagen. At their retail price, they cost about $50-$60 or more. These were much better detailed, better scaled, and I hear are the best Kubelwagen to get.

I got a 21st Kubelwagen in 2004 for $30 (they were getting HTF even then) and thought I was paying too much for it, especially when you could get a plane at Wal Mart for $40. But given what they go for now, I'm glad I got one when I did. I've always enjoyed it 8)

I got in after the Golden Age and quickly discovered the Kubels were among the rarest items. But if you'll obsessively follow eBay, you WILL find some deals . Likewise, the BST forum, when your probation's up, is something to check OFTEN. A word of advice for the newbie coming in at this late date from someone who made the same mistake: Once you've got a few of a more common piece, STOP BUYING THEM. They're not all equally rare, and before long, you'll be up to your neck in Mustangs and P-40s, but not have any money left over when that great T-bolt or Lightning or the rarest of birds . . . Spitfires or Cobras ... comes along.

The 21C Kubel is more of a playable toy, where as the Mimichamps is look at it, display it, but don't play with it.

The Mimichamps Kubel is far superior to the 21C. Heavy metal, wheels turn with the turning steering wheel. Just super.

Here's the 1/18 21C and the Mimichamps together:

The darker wider one is the better Mimichamps.

The 21C 1/6 Kubels are very cheap because they are pretty crappy compared to the DML 1/6 Kubel which is a much better model.

I picked up a 21c Kubel cheap, problem it had lost it's box and windscreen. Everything else is still there, Kubel is on the base and even the tape is intact.

 Man I am so glad I got mine. If you keep watching ebay you can still find some. I got what at the time was the average price about seven months ago I picked up two. I paid about $30 to $40 for one brand new still in the box. Than about a week after that I picked up a set of both the Kubelwagen, American Jeep, Stuka Zu Fuss, and all of the 1st issue of the U.S. and German's. I got double of some. I think I paid only about $50 to $80 on the set. :D  The only other thing I am still looking for are the German Para's but they are pretty pricey and rare too. If you stick with ebay and know the tricks on how to look you can still find really good deals. I find good deals all the time by taking my time and searching through all different types of stuff. I have got some really cheap stuff from the fact that the seller's just didn't know how to list it. :D

I gave up on the 1/18 Kubel and bought a 1/6 cheaper. i got 4 Dragon 1/6 soldiers to go in it. I'm real happy with the 1/6 scale vehicle next to my 1/18 aircraft.

You can still get some good deals on items like this but you have to religiously check eBay and the message boards. I got one recently for around $45. It was complete in the box. One just sold last night with a BIN for $45. It was only missing the MG mount. I see people all the time asking ridiculous prices for these things. The BIN’s are insane. You would think they would figure it out that it’s not worth that when they have to constantly relist them. Kind of odd.

The 21C Kuble is very nice but the Mini Champs is much nicer. I had one once and wish I still did. Great item.

Just scored a NIB 1 18 Kubel for $55.65 shipped. Also got the 1942 jeep NIB from the same seller for 10 bucks less than the Kubel
