Happy Family Dollhouse

i saw one of these on sale at TRU today and i'm thinking of picking one up. It's about 14 inches tall and 26 inches wide, when opened. The front looks alot like a small european village house (reminded me a bit of the town battle in Bridge at Remagen).

The brightly coloured bits look like they snap off, which would make it easy to repaint them a more realistic colour, otherwise the basic house colour is white, which is fine.

It has 3 levels of floors on the inside, each about 4 inches high, so putting standing figures in it would be a tight squeeze plus the floors are not very deep, maybe 3 inches, so it is more of just a front for a dio. For the price i think it's pretty cool. If i get one i may put a panzerfaust shooter on the balcony (like in Remagen).

 Wow check out the reviews, think Mama B hit on the head....."useless as anything but a cheap plastic background". That sounds like just what we want.
I'll have to see if I can find one.

If you want to make pictures inside the house, you should better choose a Lundby Dollhouse, search images through goggle. It's of wood, with common wallpaper, furniture are easy to find, and it could looks more realistic than plastic (even repainted) models. 1/18 soldiers would be a little bit too tall, just the height of the door, but US men are tall. I wanted to make a dio, an eastern man who got trouble with some Navy SEALs during a night somewere between Afghanistan and India. I just don't have the time to make it, and do not have the skill to make an 1/18 nightwear.

All your friends but you?

I use Playmobil buildings in my dios. The grey corner ruin that came with a wizard set is spot on to a bombed out building.
