hi guy i just email the guy at
http://www.chuckshobbies.com/
about seeing if he could blow up the su to 1:18 scale. since they already have the machin to do the work an the auto cat program is already in the computer they just need to expand everything to scale
he said he will get back to me on the pricing of a true 1:18 scale and
a f14 1:18 scale.
I also email him that we on the board wants planes with possible
working landing gears and the works
I let you guy know what he email me. he said a min of 10 order will be a must, if the price for the f14 goes for 170 to 200 true 1:18 scale with working wing. su for 150 to 170 true 1:18 scale how many would buy to get a modern jet
what would be your price range of not getting one.
what is your expectation on these
thanks
I will also email hime your message
let me know how many

that's interesting....i emailed him and told him about the board and that there may be others willing to buy some of his planes, since they happen to be close to 1/18. I never thought to ask him if he could enlarge current designs though......good one.
I'd be more interested in the Su-27 for the simple reason i have a hunch we may see an F-14 by BBI or maybe 21c someday down the road. An SU-27 is quite unlikely though.
Everyone should be aware that these are foam kits.....they make up into decent looking models from what i have seen in pictures but they are still foam. There would be some moving parts as they are intended for r/c but little panel line detail, no decals and no cockpit detail. They do have clear canopies though. Being foam they would be somewhat fragile and would not be good for 'playing' with.....just display. The foam is quite dense but still has a bit of surface texture of foam.....like a styrofoam cup.
All that said, count me in for an SU-27 for sure..
As i said in another thread i've ordered but not received yet a Sepecat Jaguar and Mig 3. I can give more info once i receive the kits and can inspect them first hand.

I wouldn't buy an F-14 that was made out of foam for the same reason mentioned by aferguson. I would buy a B-17 or B-24 to display or hang in the basement. I wouldn't need any landing gear either. I could figure that out on my own. I've thought about this before but didn't know who to ask. This is a good idea any way. I'd like to hear what other ideas people have.

I would go for a Russian jet of any type to oppose our modern jets.

i'm still keen on a 1/18 (true scale) Su-27.
Mark: they already make a 1/18 Mig 29. Here's an Ebay link to it:

I finally got a reply
here it is:
Hi Na Na,
We are prototyping UAV's at the moment. The cost for us to change our setup will run $7500. So that should give you an idea for price. The F-14 will be a lot of work to size up.The next two months are going to be very busy for us. So won't be able to start for some time.
The cost is way to high. I looked at all avenues to re-size, just can't be done on are end for affordable price.
You can still purchase any of our kits as they are now.
Thanks Again for your interest in our product.
Chuck George

so base on the retooling it will take 40 of us at a price of 200 each to get one
or 150 of us to paying at 50 each to break even
maybe badcat or some one could do a preorder
do you think there is 150 of us out there to make up for the tooling
I think the f14 would be work 100
hay badcat you might be listing
or avetion nut.

Thanks for the link Aferg. A little expensive but if you need one I guess it's your only option.

for the moment. It wouldnt totally shock me if BBI made a Mig 29 some day. An Su-27 would be less likely in my view...though it would be a stunner!
