Has anyone bought one? I saw it briefly on the peg at WM and did not have time to study it, but I recall it could have potential with some paint maybe. Has anyone bought it? Any articulation? Thanks for any intel on it.

the helmet doesn't look useful but the figure itself has decent potential for sure. Can always use some modern pilot figures. I'll have to look for these too.

I've picked up a few. Actually the helmet and gear are more useful then the pilot figure. Especially if you use the gear on a GI Joe figure. The helmet fits very nicely on many of the headsculpts. The articulation is lacking if that is what you are hoping for. Head moves from side to side, arms move at the shoulders up and down only, t-crotch leg articulaton at the hips only, and waist articulation from side to side. No elbow, knee, or foot articulation. Typical Mattel design.

I don't have pictures to post at the moment, but I've made a few custom modern pilots using the following:

1. Cobra Shock Trooper Body
2. 25th Anniversary Cobra Trooper Head
3. Hal Jordan Pilot Figure Helmet- Removed the gray square piece the oxygen hose plugs into from the gear (Easily pulls off the flight harness) along with the Flight Helmet.
4. Cobra Snow Serpent Web Gear- Removed the Parachute and glued the gray square piece removed from the Hal Jordan Pilot Figure Flight Harness in it's place to plug the oxygen hose into.

It's not that hard a custom to do if you have all the pieces and the results make a pretty cool pilot figure IMHO.

Just wish I had that JSI Flanker to put them in........

I'll try to get a few pictures up as soon as I can.

Ok, finally after a month, here are some pictures of the pilots I made using the helmet from the Green Lantern Test Pilot figure, Cobra Shock Troopers, and harness gear from a Cobra Snow Serpent. I also switched the Shock Trooper head with a head from a 25th Anniversary Cobra Trooper.

Still have more detailing to do on the helmet and the harness.

Now I just need JSI to release that Su-27!!!!!

The helmet looks a lot like the F-35's HMDS helmet (After Birddog's work, that is).
