Would love to see an Erich Hartmann. Would also love to see you do some of the more notable ground commanders like Sepp Dietrich, Kurt Meyer, Omar Bradley; just to name a few.

PLASTICBOY:

I'm still hoping you can do some pilots for the JSI F-14.

I think it would be a good idea Plasticboy.

The only problem is that you need the Aces plane to be done in 1/18 as well.

Hartmann will be done soon, we have a Barkhorn, and a Gallland, Graf, Rall etc.

No "Marge", so Bong is out.

And of course these would have to be painted.

You would have to do a standard pilot from whatever country, and paint the features.

Personally, I would get a good 1/6 figure to display beside the aircraft.

But yours is still a good idea. :D

I'd like to see a bunch of 1/18 head sculps of famous pilots as well as high ranking military officers and maybe a few movie figures who played military personel in war films/series. Sorta Tom Hanks meets Vic Morrow, meets Alan Alda........
Seems that would be a good way to get more bang for your buck!
I have always wanted to do the crew from Combat!

That's lot of characters can be created in 1/18 to match the vehicles.

I don't have the F-14 that I'm not able to make pilot to fit in the kit!

snake, you are right! The figure should match the plane.
So most of you guys don't wanna do paint job by yourself from what I know.

Here is my oldie which had done at 2005, since I collected 1/18 war bird for 1/6 figure composite use.

Don't know anyone will interested in Combat characters?

Wow, plasticboy. This is amazing. I would be very interested in german pilots. Maybe Erich Hartmann, Günther Rall, Walter Schuck (would be nice for my airbrush Me26) and many more. What would be the price for one finished figure?
Regards from Germany
Sven

PLASTICBOY:

Considering the number of JSI F-14s sold, I think there's a demand for pilots to go with them. The other three sources for F-14 pilots don't appear to be viable, so you wouldn't have any competition.

Suggestion:

1. A pilot figure with torso only (i.e. no legs) so it would be easy to fit in the F-14 cockpit.

Speaking of specific "Ace" pilot figures, we did sort of get a couple:

21c did a specific Adolph Galland figure for his aircraft - the Bf-109 pilot figure with a painted moustache.

The 21c Boyington Corsair had a pilot that had VMF-214 stenciled on the mae west lifejacket, so it could represent Boyington.

Using the head that came with one of the 21c Avenger crew (which seems to look a lot like Boyington) on the Boyington Corsair pilot body, I made a very believable Pappy Boyington pilot for my Corsair 8)

Sounds like you've got some good feedback coming in Plasticboy. I like the fighter Ace idea as well as the panzer / tanker Aces.
Zonetoys hit on something I've wanted for years, Head Sculpts that could replace or supplement the ones that came with 21st's figures. Some with a little more facial expression, talking or yelling for example.
Well lets see where it goes.........your the Artist.
Just want to say your Russian tank riders look great!!

I'd like an Ira Kepford head for my Corsair, as well as Pappy Boyington. Perhaps Alexander Vraciu as well. I'm going to need my own 1:18 carrier for all the planes+pilots I want, haha.

Indeed, I wasn't expected to get lot of feedback for it that I thought not many people will interested in figurine. Now I can imagine lot of fun at this era!
