Being a fan of the 1:18 ground troops and armor, I was just thinking how neat it would be for a company to produce articulated WWI ground troops and armor and battle sets. Ahhh...the dioramas I could produce! I got the idea while watching that WWI movie on the history channel with Rick Schroeder...I can't remember the name of it....good movie though!!

I'd like to see this as well. It's an important and interesting part of our history that I think gets overshadowed in the recreation hobby because there's more "stuff" in the WW2, Vietnam, and modern military scenarios.

I would love to see a WWI line. There is something really classical about the WWI British soldier. It's something I would definately buy into!

WWI aircraft would be awesome as well. Many repaint opportunities there, that's for sure. Could you imagine a series of 5 DR I's, all from Richtofen's Flying Circus?? Hang those babies up tangling it with some Camels from McCudden's No.54 Sqdn and Yeah baby, that's what I'm talking bout......

The Lost Battalion was a fun movie but riddled with inaccuracies, so don't use it for research material on WWI.

I too would like to see WWI stuff but i think it fairly unlikely. Even in 1/35 scale modelling there is not very great coverage of WWI topics and it is a hugely popular scale. I've customized a few WWI things, bought some wooden desktop model WWI aircraft that are very close to 1/18 scale (some of which are VERY nice btw) but i don't hold out much hope for seeing anything in a mass production way.

Here's hoping i'm wrong..

The companies always talk about market ability-----if that is true then where in the H-e-double hockey sticks is the Red Baron? Just my humble opinion.

I'd prefer some Civil War figures before WWI, but I think the WWI equipment would be cool - especially the planes

WWI would be very cool! There are lots of aircraft possibilities, and 1:18 British and German soldiers would be very cool. You could even make tanks, but only two (the Renault & the Male tanks) would be recognizable. The planes, again, would be awesome!
