21c is out of business. Is this something that was made and never released or is it a bunch of repainted DAK 88's?

Is JSI repainting the 88mm and re-releasing it?

My guess is the 88mm is another "Old inventory just found in a Chinese warehouse" deal.

Awhile back Badcat and other dealers got a bunch of 21st Century Bunker Hill TBM Avengers that were found in a Chinese warehouse. I got one for about $80.

the difference is that this is a repaint. I'm not aware of any "Old inventory just found in a Chinese warehouse" that were repaints, prior to this, if this is indeed for real.

It could be thats the only picture they have but it may come in a JSI box

how would they get a picture of a grey 88 in a 21c box when it was supposedly never made? And Allgo has sent out legal warnings to all retailers not to sell products to which they own the rights, released by other manufacturers ie JSI. So no way Foxhole would be showing a JSI product in a 21c box.

It's either an old out of date link about a product that was never released (which i doubt) or it's a repaint that was never released but has actually been found and is now being released (which i doubt too, but a bit less).

i made a couple calls to some of my buds in the biz and these are being made in china and shipped in 21c boxes. so it some of this "found" stock. which we know isnt true since these have never been released. im sure Allgo will be in fits over this. but not much they can do to the chinese

Now wouldn't it be a real surprise if the King Tiger showed up? After all it was next in line after the 88. Ah I guess thats just wishful thinking on my part.

So All Go bought the molds to the 88??

they may have paid for them but China has them

we don't know exactly what molds Allgo has. They didn't 'buy' anything. They reclaimed ownership of many of the old 21c molds. We just don't really know what ones...other than from the smattering of repaints they are about to offer.

They may still own the rights to the 88 molds but they obviously don't physically possess them and it seems whoever does is doing this repaint release. It's strange they would do it in a 21c box, so i'm wondering if it is actually Allgo doing it and just using some old packaging that is lying around to save costs and time.

This is all pure speculation. Maybe TKO will be able to shed light on it.

algo hasnt offered any pre orders on any 1/18 only the 1/32 planes

badcat has it up for pre-sale now, so it's for real and not from Allgo.

they are from China and will be sold in 21c boxes

wow, that's pretty brash, unless they are being sold under liscense, which i seriously doubt. Allgo may be able to block them from being sold, if they're being sold in 21c boxes.
