The mind is the limit. As long as the mind can envision the fact that you can do something, you can do it, as long as you really believe 100 percent.

They'll never be at Wal-Mart...
Unless...
There are more IJ movies and they re-use old sculpts to get stuff out in a greater capacity.
And they weren't released because, as a toy line, Indiana Jones went nose-down into the ground once the movie came out. I bought scads of figures for $1... Original movies and new one. IJ stuff was pretty well done overall, with lots of articulation and pretty good sculpts/accessories. The movie did well, but as a toy vessel it suffered. IJ's got a limited life during a movie's opening.
These figures were actually tooled, but were scrapped when the line was on life-support at retail. The tooling being done though, Hasbro saw fit to put out a "final wave" then at SDCC, which there will probably be extras available for sale.
Now the question is, will there be another Jones film then? Hasbro owns the toy license, so if another film happens, I can easily see more toys coming out for it. Otherwise, this is pretty much it.

Re: First Look At SDCC-Exclusive Indiana Jones Figures!
Wow, that german mechanic is awesome!
It is a shame that people weren't interested in buying the line ... I suspect that Star Wars and GI Joe do so well because kids. Just about any SW / Joe figure I present to my nephews or friends kids is always well received ... "He (or she in the case of Scarlett) is my favorite".
I would have liked to see more in the Indy line. In particular: a re-release of the map room (complete ones are just a bit too pricey), a Hasbro German pilot, the fezz hat wearing Brotherhood of the Cup guy, Marcus Brodey (I like Marcus and he and Dr. Jones Sr. would have been fun for diaromas), 1930s German agents, and Capt. Takanga (sp?) from the smuggling ship ... oh and a Willy Scott not in a dress.
I am still hoping that the Capt line will extend and have some rereleased Indy Germans to be Red Skull flunkies.

Re: First Look At SDCC-Exclusive Indiana Jones Figures!
So here's the deal...
Hasbro's shop at the show is selling these and other exclusives. Some were 2 per, some 1 per, but they were trying to limit how many a person could run with after waiting in line so people didn't scarf up stuff. As of 2 days into the show, there were a good number of IJ cases (and other stuff) left.
Sometimes Hasbro sets these aside for after the show too, so they have a specific ammount to sell then. Other times the stock is what theyt ake and what is left (if anything) goes up after the show.
Anyway, a buddy of mine there picked me up my case, but I think this will make it online at Hasbro Toy Shop. I got this set and a set of Republic Commandoes that TRU/EE were sharing at the show. Even the Death Star Boxed Set of figures was still available a couple days into the show though, and hasbro honestly felt it'd sell out before show's end. Not sure what its status is now, but if it doesn't sell out then I don't think this set of Indy figures will sell out at the show either.
