What should the next short build be ?

Post by pickelhaube » Tue May 17, 2011 9:02 pm

Work goes on with the Horten. All detail stuff with nothing to show.

What should my next short project be , after the Horten?

These are just a few. Some I have already started some just on paper.

Any new ideas ?

Also at one time I talked about doing a Spitfire variant.
I kind of dropped that idea and it seemed that a few guys were saddened by that.
I had grand schemes of doing a full build incorporating the clipped wings and tropical air scoop.
To be more realistic I think that I could just do the wing tips and scoop by themselves.

Also i have heard that there was a 55 gal drum that was made to go with the Indy figures. Is there need for the 55 gal drum in mass ?

How about the UH-1D Huey Slick? I know you where waiting on jsi to release another Huey, but it doesn't seem like it will be showing up anytime soon. A Vietnam era Cobra Gunship would also be an excellent project.

Those would be full builds.

I am posting for short builds.

But the 'Nam Cobra is on the long list of things to build before I die .

Pickel,
I'm still holding my breath to do a AH-60L DAP blackhawk.

Image

You got just about everything done except new winglets (shorter version), M230 Chain gun, small nose sensors, and FFAR rocket pods. I have a pavehawk that's been waiting in the box to become a DAP for about 5 years now. I love my pavehawk with all your attachments: window inserts, fuel probe, FLIR, and Radome, and M-134 miniguns. Everytime I look at it I get the bug to do the DAP version, just don't have the skill to make my own needed parts to do it.

What would the Panzer variant be?

Without a doubt..... a 105

Not on your list, but how about a 57mm Anti tank gun. They were towed behind half tracks, the 3/4 Dodge and the big 1 1/2 ton Dodges. We have all the right vehicles, just need a gun to tow. We would be stretching the imagination to tow a 105 with the 1 1/2 ton Dodge, they were towed behind 2 1/2 trucks. :(

We need towed guns....

How about a soft top and/or trailer for the jeep. Maybe in unison with a driver/passenger done by Weylen.

Well, I have too much wishes. Would like to have 2 turret humvees. But I'm still a Blackhawk fan, so I could be in for a AH-60L DAP conversion kit as Poughran wrote. And a 105 mm Howitzer would also be an original sling load. I know nothing about 105 mm guns, there is a M-119, can be towed from a humvee or carried with an UH-60... But which 105 mm gun will PH make? At least, I still have a need for a lot of kevlar helmets to refit my BBI small army (40 guys with booney hat or this awfull, narrow helmet with NVG which is a nonsense on daylight pics). So, I can't determine what to poll.
