Things are moving and shaking right now. Somebody has approched me about doing the King Tiger with Henchel turret and he also wants the Porsche along with the Jadgtiger.

I know the rumor of 21st/Algo is out there. Will they ever make it ?

Will you guys buy the kit if I make it ?

This is a feeler. If you guys want it I will have to take deposits like I did for the Horten.

This WILL be done if the is the inteerst.

I will also do a follow up Porsche turret and the Jagd

um, what happened to the SU-85?

And didnt you say it would be a long time before you did another tank because of the track linkkkksssssses?

My hunch is the KT will be released. However a JT would be of interest.

Maybe ( if I build it ) I will do the Porsche turreted version first . That way( if ever  ) it comes out , my version will not conflict.

That would be wise since, even if JSI does release one, you still may have people coming to you to buy the porsche turret to have another version of their JSI release. I'd say it is a good way to play the odds.

Pickel, the Porsche version might be the way to go. I prefer the Henchel turret
A Jagdtiger kit might also be the way to go.............I don't know but I just have a feeling 21st/Allgo are going to pull this one off. It would be their best selling piece of armor yet!
I remember hearing the King Tiger was due out right after the 88's........so it must have very far along or ready when the stuff hit the fan and then the JSI BS.
Maybe TKO has some new intel on the subject...................

...........at this point, all I want is a Horten or two :D

the beauty of doing a jagdtiger is this: even if, and that's a big if, AllGo were to make a JT after they made a KT it will still be based on their KT hull, which is incorrect as the JT hull was stretched. So you could make a JT that is 100% accurate and it will still be sellable even after a 1/18 JT were ever released, which is doubtful anyway.

I think the AG KT is going to happen though. They are still around and they seem to be gaining momentum and it will no doubt be their first signifcant release in 1/18.

Personally, I am not too hyped up for either the Konig or Jagdtiger, but it is great that you are planning on making them. Does this mean that some time you could make an elefant? :?:

I almost can not believe there is not that much interst in th KT.

It is hard to believe that there was more interest in the T-34 .

There is a big price gap between nothing more than $80 and $300 and up.

Well I sold a lot of the T-34 @ $300 and I am still selling them.

The KT is bigger and will have more wheels. So $300 is the starting price.

I thinkover $300 is pushing the limit for a armor kit in 1/18 scale. So I will try my best to keep it there.

i don't think there is a lack of interest in the KT, just an expectation of seeing it in plastic; so a sort of wait and see attitude going on.

That's why i think a JT would have more interest. Extremely unlikely to be seen in 1/18 plastic and even if it is it will be inaccurate to some extent, being based on an unaltered KT chassis.

How bout doing a swedish S tank sometime. :)

the king tiger is nice and i want a couple but, cant afford more than 100 bucks for the use i have in mind which is repurposing them into cobra tanks and such. so i have to wait till come out in plastic, unfortunately. I am also not a WWII collector, I am modern and joe guy but if i were i think i would prefer PH route more options, great support, I often wish i had more money for PH's stuff.

The votes for "nothing over $80" have got to be a joke. Ten guys actually believe PH can cast a KT and sell it for under $80? Silly.

A realistic price for all the work and material involved work be something $300+. I'm sorry for those that can't afford it but voting for less than $80 is an insult to PH.

I personally voted high to gauge our market for PH. I am happy with my 1/16 Matto KT and don't think a 1/18 is needed unless it is in plastic and around $100, which means one of the "big guys" is involved. My opinion is that AG will never be a going concern, AG is a joke. Too bad, but just a joke.

The five of PH's gems that I have now (with one more on order) make me appreciate the fine work and efforts PH puts into 1/18.

I still say, PH should concentrate in existing model tank conversions using lower halfs of existing models (Panthers, Tigers, Shermans etc) wheels/tracks. Of course, that does not include something like a CCKW or like a Opel Blitz. Now they would be nice. With using something like the Indy big truck for a CCKW. The actual Indy big German truck used in the movie was actually a CCKW body mocked up to be a German truck and Hasbro copied it into the toy so the CCKW is a natural. :?

My 2 cents. For what it is worth....... actually, more like 4 cents, with inflation.

>>> I'm not surprised at all :o ,.. besides , i think most still anticipate the official release of a 1:18 KT.

* The T-34/85 kit you offer on the other hand , and it's still selling , most think will never get made ,.. Officially !

....... I think it's best if you just stick to conversions and the like. That way you won't burn yourself making big custom jobs nobody's willing to pony up for.

I voted "nothing over $80" because that is the most I would pay for one, not what I would expect him to be able to produce one for. You are correct that would be a ridiculous expectation, but is not how I took the wording of the poll.

I understand what your saying, There is allot of interest in the King Tiger but most dont want to pay over $100 for one or cant, its no insult to PH, no one is saying he should sell it for $80 I doubt. Like Ive said there is to much competition with the cheaper RC 1/16 tanks.

That is why he should stick to aircraft and simple armor conversions like a Priest or Jagd panzers. The last thing I would think about doing if I had his skill is spending my time cranking out individual track links for pennies.

Hes one of the most talented guys I know and he deserves to be well paid for sharing his work.

The following is just my opinion but I'm fairly sure that Airplanes will be the first focus of Allgo. = If the price was right enough on a KT kit in 1:18 I would likely pull the trigger on one just in case!

IF that is AllGo's plan I wish them luck. After Pickel's Horten 229 I'm about done with aircraft, I've got what I want.
Armor is my main intrest in 1:18 and if they want to walk away from the King Tiger and Jagdpanther... so be it. Foolish in my opinion.
How many years do we have to wait? :?
TKO, I do understand its just your opinion but I fear you my be right.

Mine will be built and it will happen this year.

Most of my projects take about 2 months to do. From conception to the last of the orders going out.

Not so bad in the gran scheme of things.

There are a few things that I have on my plate. First being the Horten of course.

Next not so much in order,

105 Howitzer
Su-85
GAZ AA
GAZ AAA
HUMVEE armor upgrade
Tiger II
Nashorn

I doubt if I will get all of these done this year

I have always wanted the KT and I have somebody who wants me to build it for him. As I said before IT WILL BE MADE AND IT WILL BE MADE THIS YEAR.

Along with the Jagdtiger. :D

So if you guys want in let us see a show of hands.

BTW nothing over $80 was indeed a joke.

Counting the cost of the RTV and resin . The T-34 cost me about $80 per unit.

So if i were to do a full build tank in resin I would do it for free if priced at $80.

That aint going to happen.

i'll probably be in for a JT, if it can stay around $300. I will probably wait and see on the KT as i would like multiples and buying multiple kits would be like, yikes!

Did the Nashorn have the exact same superstructure as the Hummel? ie could a Nashorn be the basis for a hummel, with a different gun?

good to know...so a hummel is not too far away if a nashorn is made.
