Is it too early to begin looking for the Avenger? I admit I've pulled into W-M's with the idea I might find one. It's not wasted time becuase now I can hopefully snag at bubbletop. RMOORE from Bloomington, IL, are you out there? Please keep us up to speed on the finds at the Normal Wal-Mart. That store is first in our area for almost everying for 21C.

First quarter of '05. My hunch is by the end of January we'll be getting our first sightings of it at WM.

As suspected, this release is now moved out into 2005 (Q1), per BCA.
Something to look forward to!

Geeze guys. 21c at least started the end of the year with the M-113. Now you want the Avenger??? Too much too soon. We would have fits with two new toys at the same time.

Hopefully the 1st repaint will be blue and will follow soon.
I NEED a TBM, and it needs to be blue.

Here's some links to an outfit that apparently does museum quality desktop models.
It's nice to get a preview of what a 1:18 Avenger model could look like:

I think it’s safe to say that we won’t be seeing detail like that from 21c or bbi any time soon. If we did we probably couldn’t afford to buy them. Those planes are gorgeous. I especially like the ARADO AR-196. I wish they would make us one of those.

Yes HPH makes quite a long list of 1/18 aircraft. Lots of juicy choices. They cost about $1700 to $3000 plus shipping from east europe. I've seen detailed shots of models they make and the quality is supurb.
They also make the Me-262 kit that has been mentioned in the past ($600) and are making a 1/18 nose section for a B-17 (no price given) as mentioned by someone many months ago (Lightning2000?).
These would make good prizes for Kamikaze to offer in future contests, huh Mark?

Wow! those planes are incredible. It would be tough to purchase very many of them. I second the Arado 196-what a beaut! Thanks for the link to those great pics.

Hey Guys,
I was talking to Armando from Far Out Toys in San Jose, CA today, he said the Avenger wouldn't come in until early Jan. The 109G shoud be out about Thanksgiving. He got in a few P47 Huc's and Checkertails. Leave me a Checkertail.

From Bad Cat today:
This much anticipated product has been delayed until at least the Spring of 2005. Once we have a firm "on the water" shipping date from our agent letting us know they are on the way, we will put this item up for preorder. Rest assured, our preorder price and delivery date WILL beat everyone on the web

Just to add to the mix a little....
Wouldn't it be nice to have a beautiful Dauntless sitting next to that beautiful Avenger (hint, hint, hint)?

They've made the German equilivalent (the Stuka) so why not the US version? It would have that great cockpit, the folding wings, dive slats, and payload! Then why not make a Japanese Val to go with our zero

SBD's did not have folding wings.

These are the most detailed models I've ever seen. The Farrari 312 is magnificent.

Roger that Mike,
Just think of all the colorful schemes that could be done with the Slow But Deadly.
Prewar Marine, Coral Sea, Midway, Tricolor, North Atlantic. etc.
