POST BBI ZERO DISCUSSION HERE

Here's the info everyone's calling about--Matt

"We apologize for the unorganized introduction this aircraft has received. Many months of hard work have gone into the research behind this plane and it's development by both BBI and BCAT. For a roaring send-off, Bad Cat had spent a great deal of time and money preparing a professional streaming video production worthy of this historic piece. Unfortunately, our exclusive was announced before our production was finished or any development photos were received. Naturally, this has caught us a little flatfooted. At this point, we are still awaiting production, shipping, and delivery confirmation from BBI and will put the Zero up for preorder once we do.

The first A6M2 Zero we have chosen has faded into history. No famous names or heroic tales, simply an ordinary example of an IJN aircraft. Piloted by PO1 Takashi Hirano and assigned to the Akagi, this Zeke participated in the attack on the Pearl Harbor. His is one of the 29 airplanes that did not return. Hirano most likely met his fate from ground fire while strafing Hickam Field, although one of the few P-40s or P-36s that got airborne that day may have been responsible. A good site in your quest for information is http://www.j-aircraft.com/research/jiml ... lpearl.htm

Badcat,

I am sure that all your thoughts, efforts and actions undertaken to bring us this very desireable plane will be appreciated by SO many here.

I have ordered from you before, and will order several of these from you too.

Thanks-a-million to you and BBI for this ZERO!

Wow I didnt know Bad Cat was involved in the Zero project but its cool to find out they are and their efforts are well appreciated. I also appreciate their efforts on the re-paints of the bbi Mustangs as well. I hope there is no ill feelings between bbi and Bad Cat now. God knows we dont need that in this buisness.

Keep up the great work bbi and Bad Cat.

Rob, Thanks a million for working with BBi to produce this historic aircraft. I will defintely order more than one to help make it worth your risk. I have ordered from your site many times before and have always been pleased with the service and professionalism of your staff.
( Now if this works out, how about an A-10 ;-)

Thanks again,

Andy VW

I envision a young, fixated IJN pilot focused intensely on raking a row of airplanes at Hickam, unaware of the aircraft at his six. Diving from altitude, vapor trails streaking from each wing tip in the humid Hawaiian air is the P-40B of Ken Taylor. With meatballs bracking his gunsight he pulls the trigger . . .

Wake up Wu man, snap out of it, it's time to go to work.

This is great news and great to see something never done before brought to us by the team at Bad Cat. Thanks for your hard work and working with BBI to bring us all one of our most requested planes. Bad Cat certainly treats us right!! Hope we get to see an A-10 and others from you too. Great job!!!!!!!!

As excited as I am for the plane, I can't wait to see the pilot. For me, the one area BBi has always blown 21C out of the water is the pilot pack-ins.

I am amazed  that BadCat is responsible for bringing us this Zero. I do hope that BadCat will make a nice return on their investment. If this goes well for them then perhaps we will see more new mold types.

What a company! Way to go Rob! :D

Make plenty of repaints... I will buy each one you produce.

Morian Miner:

I'm with you on the pilots. Far superior to 21Cs so far. Great figures in and of themselves. Can't wait to see the Japanese one.

o'man an early Zero

if i were BBI or Bad Cat i wouldn't worry about the cat getting out of bag
there are only 450/500 of us members and only about half of those are active.
so i think there will be a big surprize to rest of people.

The excitement levels about this particular realease takes me back to the great "early" days of collecting 1/18 scale aircraft.

Thanks again Badcat and BBI!

:D

Wow!! Zero Heaven!!

Unbelievable, not one but two Zeros to choose from!!! I have not been on the site for a few days and look what happens. Maybe I should stay away more often.

This Zero is going to be a great addition to bbi's Corsair no doubt about it and we have not only bbi to thank but Bad Cat as well. I can only imagin what the quality of the Zero will be like and if its anything like the Corsair and Mustang its going to be a winner.
