I have a JSI F-14 with the nose gear broken at the base where it attaches to the pin. I'm looking for suggestions on the best glue to try to fix this or any ideas on a different method to repair it? Thanks in advance.

I purchase an F-14 from anotrher member and this seems to be the same problem you are having. Here is an explanation as to how he fixed it. It looks good and is very sturdy, probably better than new.
"The main landing gears are sturdy. It has been displayed on its gears often and shows no signs of bending. Basically I bought one of the later issues of this F-14 after JSI made slight improvements. However as we know JSI has not had stellar quality control. The nose landing gear was not attached at its base correctly. Very loose. I removed it and shaved some material to level the plastic and reattached it with extremely strong epoxy and painted it white. It is as good as new. Very tough and sturdy.
Hope this helps you.

Thanks for the suggestion. Can you suggest a specific brand of epoxy resin glue? I've tried 2 different epoxy glues and even after roughing up the surface and curing overnight the broken parts just came apart! The plastic that's used for the landing gear almost seems resistant to glue. This is very frustrating. It's nice that there are metal mains available, but what about the nose gear??? I sent an email to Merit international about getting a nose gear replacement but I don't have much expectation with that.
