Modern German Armour from Chap mei (figures by me)

Post by steelbonnet » Wed Aug 10, 2005 3:45 am

Hi All,

Well as you know I`ve got Modern British covered (figures & armour) & Modern German figures, well chap mei have been kind enough to provide the armour.
The armour they have provided is a Weasel tank. The 3 I have are all thank`s to Dzirhan for getting them & posting them to me.Thank`s mate.

Chap Mei Weasel.

i know there only models but here are photos of 2 varients of the actual Weasel family. I plan on having 1 TOW & 2 with the 20mm cannons.

So as you can see Chap mei have done themselves proud with this one for getting the basic vehicle 100% by the looks of it. Once the kiddie parts are removed it certainly looks like it moreso.

Will post customized versions once there done (Proper TOW & the 20mm varients).

75th ranger,
I hope to have some improvements soon to show mate on these 3 Weasels I have.
Just figuring out the turrets now for the 20mm version :D

Tomd,

No argument from me there Tomd :D I love them.
After seeing your Seaknight helo (2 to make one close to scale version),well that I had to try. Since then I now have a variety of armour & boats for my customizing.

Though have you seen yet the V-22 Osprey? They brought that out the same time these Weasels came out.
Now there`s something l`d like to see.Agreed it`s not going to be to scale, but hey No-One else is doing it :D

Afriad not Aferg :( Dzirhan who got me my weasels said he`s planning on getting one & will post.

So it`s down to him or someone else to find one :D

From what Dzirhan said & he hopefully will correct me/jump in anyway was:-
The V-22 was a Bulky aircraft from what he saw within the package, underscaled though that`s to be expected.

Think if memory serves I think he said size of the hold maybe something like the Seaknight one they have out already,or maybe it was bigger.
Sorry I cannot be precise,it`s just this was mentioned at the beginning of the year.

So as said either Dzirhan will get one & post photos or hopefully they`ll be found in the US & then someone else will do that for us :D

Ohh if only that was true a True 1/18th scale V-22. Now that would be a sight to behold.

One way or another hopefully I`ll have a V-22 in my SpecOps flightline.

75th Ranger,
They look pretty close to being bang on scale (1/18 ala XD ala 4" figures).

That`s the beauty of these weasel tank`s,they are that short/small.

German Fallie seem to know small armour can indeed pack a Big punch :D

Just to add on this thread, no problem Steel Bonnet on getting the wiesals for you. On the Osprey, it is about the size of the Seaknight helicopter, I am planning on getting one by the end of this month, just saving up for it as Chap Mei is very pricy in my part of the world, I'll post pics of course when I get it.
