Compfire placed a link to a link to pictures in one of my other threads, to show you some of our battlefield photos. I will post them here over the next couple days, to make it easier for you to access. FRAG (Front Range Armor Group) is the second oldest RC tank club in the world, and was the first to have a permanent battlefield for 1/16th scale RC tanks. Now there are around 30+ clubs worldwide and maybe 6-7 permanent battlefields.

You will note that some of our pictures show a dirt street in the village and then others where we have installed concrete cobblestone (pink color). The buildings also received concrete foundation pads about 2 years ago. Everything now sets flat & level, and the streets add a lot of character. The low camera angle does help a lot with trying to recreate the illusion of battle. We meet once a month and do the set up of the entire battlefield, usually take pictures and then hold our infrared (IR) battles.

Our buildings are made from 1/2" plywood and either covered with a stucco type paint, plastic sheeting replicating brick and stone (also roof tiles) or some were just painted with an outside quality paint and had wood trim glued over. We pack all the buildings and dioramas away after each battle in a large on-site storage shed. Set-up takes between 2-3 hours. Normandy in Fall of 44 is the theme we chose. There are probably 1000 plastic trees planted on the hills.

The village area is in the center of the field, with staging areas on the corners. To attack the village, one must traverse many hills, valleys, rivers, bridges etc. The first pics are of the overall battlefield, and then the village in general.
Hope you enjoy the pictures, and if you get to Denver, please stop by.

Hey Panzerpaul,
is it possible that you get those "Fliegersichttücher" printed on fabric from guy called Sven?
You´ve asked for european members. I´m from Germany.
I really love what I see in those pictures.
regards

Absolutely amazing 8) That first picture really gives one an idea of the size and scale of the whole setup - those tiny tanks are 1:16 scale!
