1/18 Me 323 Gigant

Post by Jnewboy » Wed Jan 26, 2011 10:08 am

Ok Pickel, after the Horton....

Image

This is not photo-shop guys, This SOB built this..

Its actually closer to 1/14 with a 157" wingspan....

I thought a 1/18 one was way to insane at 122" wingspan...

My only question is after he flies it how does he get it home? Fly it??
(maybe thats his backyard)

tigers were too big...panzer ii was as big as they could carry. A halftrack towing a pak 40 would be cool.

Nice bird.
i never met an airplane i didn't like...

Wow that is a great model - Here is a link to a picture of a real one unloading some cargo. - They apparently made several hundred of these aircraft.

This is the grandfather to our C5A and C130, its the first I know of with the opening nose like that. Built for operation "Sealion" the invasion of England as a troop transport glider, was never used and so the existing airframes had motors slapped on.

That is a pretty cool model, of a monster of an airplane.

A good try by the Germans, but it was a sitting duck if there any enemy fighters around.

The video of this is so scary ... I mean, to really expect something like this to fly (normally), let alone with cargo.

Are there anymore pictures of the model Jnewboy? Thanks for sharing.

yea I found the info and pic here..

http://www.aviationtrivia.info/Messersc ... Gigant.php

Lots of other cool pics and other 323 builds

Its one of my all time favorite birds, out of reach though in 1/18, but the FW-200, JU-88, He-111, B-17 & B-24 are not and should be made.
