Every day, sometimes every hour, some fantastic deal appeared on the monkey site. The low cost of the items were CRAZY! They sold trucks and tanks and sometimes planes in their shipping box. You might get 4 halftracks for 30 bucks or 4 pak-40 guns for 12 bucks. It was insane. Of course, for us guys on the east coast the shipping was the downer.
Yes, that was something. It was raining 21st XD all over. It was like Christmas and the 4th of July rolled into one!

Still got a garage wall full. Only two of the multiple shipping boxes has been opened. Amazing sale. Has it been 2 years? We will never see that again but crazy high prices are all around us. A WC-51 MIB on eBay just sold for over $160. Nuts. Gee, I'd have sold him one of mine for $100

And even more amazing was the shipping rates. It was discovered that to ship to a business address was cheaper then a residential so I was shipping to my work just a few miles down the road from my house and saving even more. GLORY DAYS :D

Sad thing is when we were all getting fat from the 21st feast, 21st Century was on it's death bed and we didn't know it then.

Those were fantastic days :D I'm glad I took advantage of what I did, though part of me still thinks I should have gone overboard as some of you did. (I didn't partly because at the time I was still a grad student and working only about 3/4 the time, so money was a bit tight...)

I've still got a few unopened XD and 32x items stashed away in my storage attic from that sale, though a few others I parted with - after their market value went back up, of course

That was one hell of a sale. The Panthers, 88's, $15 Migs, oh how about the SS set for $ 9.95. 8)

A box of 4 Peties for $60 and a box of 4 M16 halftracks for $30. All of mine shipped to work too. I should have bought a Seeman, cause I still don't have one. I can't remember what the ME262 night fighter went for, but it was low...... Awh the memories

I work out of the home, so I had everything shipped to my wife's office. She was flipping out over all the huge boxes showing up every couple days!

I heard someone or some company bought up the remaining 21st Century Toys stock that Monkey had.
Can someone verify this?
Does anyone know who?

For me, it was a fifty-fifty thing, the prices were fantastic, but the shipping sucked, that kept me from getting as much as I would have liked to.

When I went to the Papago Military Vehicle show a couple weekends ago I came accross a few vendors that were selling 21st century stuff. I overheard one of them discussing with another vendor about how there was quite a feeding frenzy at the warehouse where he bought his 21st stuff, and how people were just buying whole pallets worth. I assume that these "people" were toy vendors/sellers who were in-the-know about the whole collapse of 21st Century, and decided to add to their stock. I even recall him talking about how cheap everything was, and how one guy dropped $80,000 on the majority of the stuff there (I think this was Monkey Depot).

I live about 20 minutes from them. During the frenzy I spent over $800 there... without having to pay their exorbitant shipping costs
