It does.
Now if they can just keep the shading/ weathering on the panel lines (like the pic) and keep from going all hog wild with the airbrush.

I wonder if they will make good on the promise to provide a replacement weapons set for those of us that purchased the first Black Knights release?

Question:

Who is buying the "Black Knights" F-14 and what is the price you're paying?

I can't believe they are going to release another F14 with suspect gear. This makes no sense to me, unless they are counting all the "suckers" out there to just live with the poor quality gear? Have they made any improvements to the gear at all? From reading BadCats item description, it seems they didn't as they highly recommend getting SKyworks metal replacements if displaying on gear, and offer another pre-order with the metal gear already installed ($360).
I can't justify paying over $200 let alone $300 for a model that won't even sit on its main gear for display!
Yes, I bought the original spotcat and didn't really know the extent of the gear problem until after I repainted it so couldn't return it at that point. I guess there are some of you out there that think it's worth the $360 with SkyWorks gear.
I would, however, pay $250 for an F14 with "BBI" like gear and pilot figures included (also must be w/o spots!).

I probably won't get this one, although I love the way it looks! I've got two already, a re-touched original & a Skyworks "Grim Reaper"...Both have Skyworks metal gear. I have a small fortune invested in these, as many of you who already own one know.
Because I dispaly them on the gear, Skyworks metal replacements are a must.

Listed at BigBadToyStore.com for 274.99. Also mentions what is new about like new packaging, instructions etc. Probably wont get this one, at least not until I hear of what the paint looks like. (Spots or stripes?)

Not for me.

Especially at that price, and pretty disappointed to hear the landing gear issue still remains. Seriously, almost $300 for a model that has significant issues with its landing gear.

Besides, I don't particularly like the "Black Knights" scheme.

But for those that are getting this one, I am happy that you at least have the choice.

I have mine on its gear and its been holding up better than the Spot Cat. I did revert to Nathan's (Pizza Guy) short clear acrylic stand which sits under the plane and takes much of the stress off the gear. Stand does not distract from the looks of the plane and preserves the ability to later retract gear for display with gears up, which can't be done with the Skyworks Metal gear. A lot less money for the stand too.

Nope, I'm not buying one and don't plan to buy another. My original SpotCat (original landing gear) has been repainted and sitting on Pizzaguy's lighted stand.

Hey JSI & Merit, seen any F-14 pilots lately???

Great stands from Pizza Guy. Don't know what I would do without them.

I wonder what's the status of the SSHQ poster who was working on F-14 pilots with his sister-in-law?

I know, I know...

But $35 for one pilot??? Yikes.

I'll CONSIDER the unpainted version at this point.

I will say I spent $40 on a 1/16 Panzer Commander, for my HengLong Tiger I, but that was the most exquisite resin figure I've laid my hand on and sculpted by a Hollywood special effects professional renowned in his field.
