Actually. Although it's been pretty slow for new releases, I've managed to get alot of 1:18th stuff from other board members. I've probably bought more things this year, than any other year. The tomcat was good (all things considering), looking forward to the kit mid next year though.

It's really hard to say anything about military stuff...
The high point for me I guess was getting a full set of the FOV Germans for cheap, as they're pretty decent figures. I got my 1:16 tank this year too and love it, so I guess that's a positive, though I haven't picked up a Stug or Jagdpanther yet... I want one of those as my next.
1:18 is just dead right now though and it's a shame.
for other toys though, Star Wars was booming with greatness... Defense of Hoth set, Gammorean Guard, and Endor Rebel are all up there... Phase-I Darktrooper from the EU wave was fantastic. Getting figures of Cammie and Fixer for the first time was great too,e ven if at a slight premium. Getting a new Snowspeeder, something I've wanted since before the modern line existed, was a dream come true. New CLoud Cars were a shock to the say the least, and appreciated.
I loved the RC Hailfire Droid as well... It's underrated as a toy because it's a really well made, sturdy, and very functional little RC vehicle, and the price isn't absurd for what it does.
Others will no doubt list the AT-AT, and I can't deny it's a great toy as well.
Lots of good Star Wars 2010 stuff, but 1:18 military is in the rut it's been in for some time, so it's just meh to me. Maybe it'll have something nice in 2011. Otherwise I just hope to pick up another 1:16 RC tank or two... Something Jagd would be nice.

For me the best was Pickelhaube's Sdkfz 222 and the Indy sidecar, the only new 1:18th. Oh and the three Tanks of War "Panzer Like" Panzer IV's I got for Christmas.
For '11 I'm looking forward to Pickel's T-34 and the Horten Ho-229 flying wing.
The low......was still waiting for 21st's / AllGo's King Tiger and this Me-163 Komet some folks bring up from time to time.

Oh I don't count PH's stuff.

You can't clump art in with the posters at Wal-Mart, ya know?

The stuff produced by PH, must be included. What other 1/18 ground vehicles did we have on our market for 2010?
My hi points in 1/18 had to be PH's stuff.
My hi point in 1/6 has got to be the DML Pz II, in the mail to me as we speak. And PH clearing out some of his Stuarts, all the way to me.

My personal High point was the discovery of 1/16 Extreme Metal tanks, followed shortly by the low point of being obsessed with buying them all.

Collecting just 1/18 airplanes has been tough in the recent years, but I was able to get some great birds in 2010 at what I feel were good prices.
I added a to my collection....
A Tender Terror Shell plane with documantion by TKO (of being a shell plane and not a prize TT)
A Rall 109 in the box
A 21st Century Pappy in the box
A spinach 109 - open
A custom work in progress Hairless Joe P-47
A custom completed work of a MTO 109F
getting a couple more planes for future customs
The low point is that there is no new 1/18 planes in the works.

The Pegasus, Bell X-1 was a highlight for me.
Lowlight? The overall dearth of newly-released, mass-produced 1/18 military toys.

well, for me it was an up and down year. And toy-wise as well.
Most of the year was pretty quiet then come october an explosion of stuff. All kinds of star wars, most of which i had no idea was coming, lots of power team goodies (currently modding the watch tower into a german POW camp watch tower), other cool finds plus lots of stuff from toys r us (knight's stuff, the aav (which i love despite its smallish size) and t-72 which is great for a custom one).
Lots of nice r/c planes came out, although my finances prevented me from getting most of them so far...but that will change.
So, all things considered, not a bad year and 2011 should be better.

I never realized that all of the companies would dissapoint these recent years, so during their peaks I rarely bought anything. But when I didn't see anything major coming out in 2009, I got worried, and started to save up my money to jump when they came out again. They didn't, so I went on eBay and Foxhole toys, as well as my hobbystores extreme boxing day sales, and man, have I bought a lot!
-JSI and FOV Tigers: Total $200
-Fov Sherman: $40
-21st Stuka zu Fuss: $60
-21st M3A3: $50
-21st Flak 88: $50
-21st Quad 50: $2 (Boxing day sale)
-6 BBI and 21st Yankee paras: $60
-4 German Paras: $24
-PTE Long Tom: $39
-9 BOTB 21st figs: $45
-3 OMG 21st figs: $3 (Boxing day sale)
-6 FOV germans: $39
-5 FOV yanks: $39
-21st M16: $5 (Boxing day sale)
-ME 262: $4 (Boxing day sale)
2010 has been my best year for purchases, but its too bad nothing I was interested in came out.
I just can't wait to see what will appear this year. I don't plan on buying much, but if I could get a Jadgpanther and a Konigstiger for under $300, that would be epic.

Just figured I'd add that PTE was a high point...
Not since the initial dumping of PTE at Big Lots has there been this much selection of the PTE brand. I got a big set of items from JC Penney's for cheap, and I got a good bit at Big Lots for full BL prices which are quite fair/affordable. And a buddy was there to take the figures off my hands, so that was great.
It's great accessories to stock up on for the other lines I enjoy, so I was pretty excited at the PTE selection this year. I shouldn't have slighted it in my initial posts.
And I still say Picklehaub's stuff is like art compared to mass-produced posters of Justin Bieber.

I can't afford some of it, I want all of it, and it's generally far superior to the mass-produced stuff I think. Hat's off to him and Grunt and anyone else doing stuff like the Howitzer, the tri-pod for the MG, the sidecar to the Indy bike... Speaking of, I need to get to building the last two, and dreaminng of owning the first, haha.
