True Heroes tank scale?

I was at Toys R Us today and found what looks like a T-72 tank.
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.js ... Id=3557195 Does anyone know the scale of it? The hull was about the size of a 1/18 sherman. It was definitely toyish, but I might pick one up and repaint it as an iraqi tank if the scale is close enough.

Hi, not sure on the scale but it looks alittle small. Still would look great if done up right.

by my guesstimation, the turret is about 1/19 and the hull is way small at around 1/22 ish. My plan is, if i can everr get my hands on them, is to take the turret off this tank and put it on the power team chinese tank chassis. Repaint, detail a bit and i think it will make a decent 1/18 ish T-72.

That's a great idea, I'll have to keep an eye on it for discounts.

well wonder of wonders, TRU in Canada got the True Heroes T-72 tank in stock. At $22 i grabbed it. As i suspected the turret is almost exactly 1/18 scale (it works out to 1/18.6 as best as i can tell). Now i just need to track down a Power Team chinese tank and i'll be able to make myself a decent 1/18 T-72.
TRU also finally got the Steel Badger, aka AAV7P. At $22, i grabbed it too. Underscale but still cool.
Now i hope to one day be able to find a couple of the chap mei wespes.

got my AAV to float realistically, with only about the top inch of the vehicle's hull above the waterline, just like the real thing.
I glued little blocks of styrofoam between the ribs in the rear section and then covered that over with strips of plastic to hide them, then painted the interior a light yellowish green. For the nose section i put the AAV in water...the rear was boyant now but the bow wasn't of course and sank. Then i just started to cram in little chunks of styrofoam through the small opeing at the base of the turret and filled up the nose section that way. I just kept adding until the bow sat up at the same height as the stern. The nose section ended up being fairly full of styrofoam chunks but they can't fall out. So now it floats perfectly and the holes at the bottom make perfect drain holes when i take it out of the water.
Next step is to make some marines for it. I'm going to use power team figures in woodlands camo (need a change from desert camo). I figure i can get about 5 figures inside as the interior is pretty deep. Then my AAV will be ready to assault the beaches of Granada or anywhere else.
The only problem is that since the vehicles floods with water, the troops are wet when it comes ouf of the water, but, oh well.

i got my chinese tank today and test fit the chap mei t-72 turret on it. Looks ok but sits too far foward, needs to be moved back about 3/4 on an inch. Doesn't sound like much but the way it is now it looks sorta goofy as the rear deck is way too long and spoils the look of the tank.
Havent figured out how to best do it yet but i'm sure with some mulling there will be a simple way.
Then, with a nice coat of dark green paint, i think it will look pretty dandy. The turret is a hair small but really not bad and when mounted on the tank will have the correct overall height.

well, the turret is a bit small lookng for the pte chassis. I moved it back a little over an inch and while it looked better, it still didn't look great. The hull just looks to long and large for the chap mei turret. It's an ok custom to do and looks decent but not fantastic. So i ended up making a wrecked/burned out t-72 out if it, and it doesn't look too bad that way. I painted it desert sand instead of green.
