Looks like RC Tank World is folding their tent. Big going out of business sale happening there right now thru Dec. 24th, this would be a good opportunity for anyone who wants to stock up on parts & accessories for customizing 1/16 RC armor at some very attractive prices. Looks like he takes Paypal too.

Always beware of online going out of business sales though, too. They can short you on stuff, and you could do without it. I'd order on a credit card just incase you don't get what you pay for. You won't be covered on a debit card.

I haven't dealt with these guys personally, but they have a good reputation at the tankers forum at RC Universe. But I don't see how you could go wrong paying with a Paypal balance, If you didn't get your goods I think it would be easier and quicker filing a PP claim than trying a chargeback on a credit card. I can't comment about debit cards, I've never had or used one.

Well Debit Cards work like CC's but aren't protected as much, generally, whereas most CC purchases are protected and can do "charge-backs" and things, just incase... PayPal, I'm not sure if they have any recourse on a company that folds up shop. The problem is the company shutting down... If they're shutting down, there's often not a way to get your cash back on purchases. Especially if they're filing any kind of bankruptcy to boot.

I've seen it happen with a couple companies, unfortunately, where they don't deliver the goods and people have trouble getting anything back off them. I've never experienced it with PayPal though, so maybe it's different. It's supposed to protect you, but what recourse do they have if the company just simply doesn't exist anymore, ya know? Their track record just goes out the window. It's always just good to exercise caution in that situation I think. I wouldn't use a Debit Card is all... Either PayPal or CC's, but definitely not a DC.
