Let me know guys.

I had no quality control issues really with this plane. The gear looks correct and some flight controls are tabbed without movement. I think it's a great plane and must-have. DWK is the best of the lot, being the quintessentiail Battle of Britiain plane. You can't go wrong IMHO....

I have the DWK version and love it. Very good-looking reproduction of the aircraft. All versions seem to have well-researched markings. I try to limit myself to US Navy aircraft (so far, Corsair, F-18 and soon, the Avenger). But the Spitfire is such a pretty aircraft and the 21C is a good representative that I couldn't resist!

It is a very well done aircraft. I highly recommend it. It is one of the nicer ones that 21st has done.

I have the NKK version and love those markings, but for the overall quality of the 21C Spitfire, it is one of the better 21c aircraft, right behind the F-104 and ME-109G, IMHO. The cockpit detail is excellent with gunsight, painted instruments, correct control stick, and even oxygen bottles! In an Area 21 interview, 21c master modeler Roy Sutherland stated that this model was one of his favorites.

The only problem I have with my Spitfire is that the landing gear doesn't like to stay retracted. The tabs that are supposed to hold it in seem to be a bit too small. I don't know if anybody else has this problem. Otherwise, the plane is pretty nice.

It's great (even I have a Spit hanging), but it is not flawless and is already showing signs of age. The door to the cockpit I believe is supposed to come down all the way as in photos but does not - at least not on mine. It also has minimal movement on the control surfaces and now that we see Gun Bays being introduced the wings will soon be dated.
Overall it's worth the money for the silhouette which is sweet, and obviously the history.

Thanks guys for all the insight on the Spit DW K. Its on my list to get because I have yet to get a Spitfire but I'll have to add it to my ever growing collection.
