delayed-- F-14 Black Knights, P-40 Flying Tigers

Post by dragon53 » Fri Oct 22, 2010 11:48 am

Badcat says the JSI F-14 "Black Knights" has been delayed. It was due out in October.

Any of you insiders know when the F-14 "Black Knights" will be released?

I am glad that I purchased a Black Knights F14 from Aviatornut! Hopefully the other ones will show up soon, and the "promised plastic ordnance package" for those of us who purchased the comic c. version.

Hopefully, a delay is a good thing.

At least trying to stay positive, although it is hard.

The delay could be part of the "genuine article" authentication Jsi mentioned wanting to implement after the theft incident?

That would be a red ink inscription "JSI, Made in China" stamped with a chinese Jade seal on the underside of the fuselage

Perhabs it was their first batch of f-14s that was stolen?  That would explain that stupid paintjob and lack of quality :?

Black Knight & P-40 delay, f-15 canceled, Su-27 on hold = signs of a struggling company? Why do I have a funny feeling that the f-14s we have now are all we will get?... Concerned!

GOUCHY:

I hope you're right about the authentication causing the delay.

Dragon53,

Like Snake sez, a little positive thinking can't hurt :D

Could be something to do with the production of additional plastic ordnance too

So, I have started my process of squirreling away some extra 1:18 models for the long harsh winter ahead. And I saw something on a new f-14 box that I have never seen on any of the 40 or so that I have received and handled before. In the middle of the box top was a metal plate that was a little larger than a business card. It is painted a white color, and has a chineese boarder pattern in black ink printed on the plate. There is also the words F-14 U.S. Navy in a military stencil style lettering - printed in black ink as well. Anyone else seen this before? Is this the new promised authentication plate? Just curious...

I got one with the same plate on it and the holograms. It's a Jolly Roger Version.
