JS International Limited Stolen Products
Solemn Declaration
Recently, the warehouse of the OEM factory which manufactured for our
company was burglarized. Unfortunately, some of our products were stolen
and re-sold. After investigation, we found that most of the stolen products were
shipped to United States of America. The stolen products may have started to
be sold illegally by the unauthorized local and overseas sellers or web sites
with an uncanny price. As a result, we solemnly declare and strongly
recommend that the following be observed:
A – Distribution right:
1 - Merit International Limited (Merit) is the sole authorized exclusive distributor
of JSI products in North America district and all of our products that are
imported and distributed by Merit only are certificated products.
2 - Some of those stolen products are incomplete and some with failed quality
check. Therefore, those products are not in good quality and no any after-sale
service and replacement service will be provide by either Merit or JSI.
3 - The unauthorized local and overseas sellers or websites may allege that
the JSI products are bought from our OEM factory or their agent in China.
There is no truth to such claim because:
i) Our OEM factory does not have any rights to sell our products
legally.
ii) The person who alleges that the JSI products are bought from
JSI’s OEM factory in China is violating corporate ethics and
infringed the constitution.
We strongly condemn this kind of immoral behavior and hope that all
wholesalers, retail stores and customers boycott these unauthorized local and
overseas sellers or websites.

I think they already took care of that before the "theft"

You know, I don't recall ever having purchased anything at an "uncanny" price. Well, yes I have if you look it up in the dictionary, but just never heard the word uncanny used to describe it. Just never thought about saying "thats an uncanny price on this Sherman tank".

Been away a while but isn't it nice to come back to a big pile of steamy BS?

If anything was stolen, then I would just have to say Karma's a bitch.

Am I correct in reading that JSI does not want us to buy anything at all with a JSI name on it because it may be stolen?

OK, I'll do her. Bam, JSI is out of business. Hope JSI is happy. 8)

Wouldn't it have been better to at least tell us what was stolen so those honest people here would avoid those products?

Like I said - JSI is not telling us what to avoid in their product line as it was stolen or is this just a ploy to eliminate customer service by saying "We won't fix that, that's one of the items that was stolen".

We are a cynical lot.

They did state was was stolen though,..
"B - Stolen products List:
1 - JSI 1/18 P-38 Lightning
2 - JSI 1/18 F4U Corsair
3 - JSI 1/18 Ju 87 Stuka
4 - JSI 1/18 Tiger Tank
5 - JSI 1/18 Panther Tank
6 - JSI 1/18 M16A1 Half-track
7 - JSI 1/18 US Soldier
8 - JSI 1/18 German Soldier
C - Identification of certificated products:
We will add new special proofs on the packaging for the original certificated
products and the details will be announced by Merit very soon. From now on,
all JSI products without the new special proofs on the packaging are fake / bad
quality and stolen products."

Adding special proofs to official packaging seems like a lot of trouble to go through for 8 stolen items.

So basically every different model they have was stolen bar the F14?

The thieves sure went straight for the good stuff!

If I recall, everything jsi had was good on quality and paintjob. Corsair, Tiger, just to name a few with the exception of...

The F14 ... well ... fits the "stolen" criteria to a Tee!

Irony and Comedy at its best

Can we put all the hate aside.....

What If JSI said we will no longer make 1/18th military toys...then what?
ever here of the saying don't crap in your mess kit? I mean I don't see any other 1/18th company stepping up to mass produce our fav scale toys. Do you?

So only the WWII stuff was stolen?Seems selective.
So they still have at least:
F-14
F-15
SU-27
Bradley
Huey
Patton

EDIT: Maybe THIS is why we haven't heard from All-Go! They must have been running a "We're taking back our propertaaai!" style kinda thing!

Wow! There is just too much here to ignore a post. It's like others have already pointed out. This is either. A joke, a hoax, ironic, or extremely insane that it just happens to be all the old 21c molds! Karma is indeed a witch sometimes. Wow!

I must admit it is pretty funny that they reference quality control issues on stolen products-what about the issues with the Spotcat that I am stuck with.
