Looks like Henglong has made a Sherman!! and will be making a factory version of the King Tiger!! Anyone care to comment or know when they will be available in the states? I see the Sherman is avalible already in Canada and can be delivered to us in the states but I am hopping to pay less than $200

Very interested in that Renault and what it'llr un... full interior? Yikes. But very cool seeing something other than the typical stuff out there.

Seems to me Stugs are getting more rare on Ebay these days. I never did bite. Now kinda panicked. :(

What's a good place for prices on 1:16 tanks OFF Ebay? Anyone have good places to deal with? Anyone sell just 1:16 tank shells basically? No guts, just the tank/tracks but none of the electronics and such.

Does anyone have experience with the Taigen 1/16 Metal R/C Tiger I's? I'm interested in these as well as the Hen Long Tigers...wondering what the primary differences are?

Nothing much really to say about the metal HL TIGER 1 if you have owned an hl before. Out of the box, the gray color is boring. a little weathering will solve that. It is heavy too due to the tracks and gb. I did notice that it is more manouverable than the M26 and 41.

The leopard a4 is out as well.. Photo provided in comparison the th M4.

I have just bought the taigen kv-1, There is a lot of difference between some heng long and taigen tanks. But some taigen tanks are almost the same as the heng long.
The KV-1 taigen has the lower hull made of metal, metal gun barrel, metal wheels, metal tracks.the top hull is plastic but the tool box open on the taigen and they are made of metal as well.also the towing U on the front and the rear are metal. And for last the gears connected to the motors are metal. The tank weights 12 pounds just as the forces of valor tiger 1 .You will also get the benefit of a better paint job with taigen.
If you get the best heng long KV-1 (they called metal upgrade)version you only get the metal tracks and gears.
The tigen panzer IV,panzer III and panther are not worth the money.they only give you the metal tracks, metal gears and the paint job. The panther has plastic tracks, which to me is the less worth getting.
The tiger one has more metal than the KV-1. It has all the same parts that the KV-1 has in metal plus the complete turret is metal.
my guess is that is should weight 14 ponds.
The KV-1 and the Tiger 1 both have torsion bar suspension with is more sensitive and realistic than the heng long. Also taigen put metal arms that holds the wheels vs heng long that are plastic.

The heavy Grerman gun is out also.

I have a SU-100 resin kit and a dead WSN T-3485 that I was going to use to make one. Now I will sell it or build it and sell it to buy this one, cause there is nothing like spending hours on the interior then putting the top back on and putting it on a shelf and never seeing it again but knowing its there   :P

Here are my HL Tiger 1 and KV1. Only the Tiger has metal track and gear. They both run very very smooth inside. Ive not tried to run them in the backyard yet. Thinking about getting the HL Sherman and T34 as well.

Very nice.

I'm also interested in T-34 and Shermie next... Icons. I got a good priced Stug which I was happy with, for my birthday. I've still yet to get either Panther, and the Sturmtiger is long gone it seems. So dejecting as that's so odd to me I just wish I would've gotten one.

I don't have the Panzer IV either... Just the one III. IV's I may buy several of, do a couple variants with them.

I wish HL sold just simply shells... I'd buy these without any electronics whatsoever for models with interiors. If they sold them cheap enough of course, otherwise you may as well get them with all the electronics for spares.

I just purchased a base model HL Tiger 1 and have what is probably going to sound like a really dumb question. Can you turn turret manually without damaging the tank? Just worried about damaging gears or the mount the mechanism is on. On my copy, the turret seems a bit loose (side to side movement) and I don't want to make things any worse. Is the turret play normal?

Also, has anyone upgraded their batteries to NiMH or their chargers? Thought I'd use my airsoft "smartcharger," which handles NiCad and NiMH, instead of the included charger.
