Trust me, it hasn't been released yet. I'm watching so close on this and have a few feelers out that I bet I'm the number one sale for this kit!

I have several 1/25th kits and numerous remote control 1/35th SU-100's ... it's been my favorite for a LOOONG TIME! So I cannot wait for this too.

Back in the 70's it was my first Tamiya tank kit, my first remote control kit and my first 1/25th kit too. I've done a lot of research on the SU-100 platform I want to build about 3 or 4 versions of it. A WWII version, a post war version, an SU-85M and a SU-122 ... using this platform for all 3, maybe 4.

That's a lot of 1/16 tanks.

Look closely, it is not an F8 but a G. THEY mislabeled or miss titled it wrong.

UK seller with the Jagdtiger. Price is about $150. UK prices are usually higher than here plus he's the only seller at the moment, with no competition, suggesting the price will be lower when it arrives in north america. So it looks like the Heng Feng Jagdtiger has finally been released en masse.

It may show up later this month. Im not a huge fan of 1/16 but this one is going to be tough to resist at a reasonable price.

This may replace the Stug on my next purchase since I'm pondering another one here soon.

Jagdtiger looks very nice...will be on the hunt for this for sure.
The sign of a great model is that one’s eye is not drawn to any one feature, yet one can study it for hours and continually find something new.

Is there a kit to make the night fighting Panther in 1/16???

Absolutely! Thats the great thing about 1/16. There is very little you cannot get in the way of accessories. I'll have to do a little research to come up with where I got it. Had it for a couple of years and just can't remember at the moment. Ordered it from one of the tank RC sites in either England or Germany. I will eventually get started on mine. The kit would not look out of place on a 1/18 Panther. Here you go.
As I received the kit.

This is close as you get to directions.

I will say that the black piece (at least it looks black) in the photo is not in the kit, at least not in mine. Looks like a piece of black electrical wire would work perfectly though.
Well its been many months and I never heard anything back. Anyone know where I can actually get one of these??

IMPERIAL Models once made these, and an SU-85 conversion kit as well. Last I heard Andy re-vamped a few things on his website and the 1/16 items were on hold. It's basically an SU-85M with that shorter 85MM barrel.

I have a SU-85 50% built, that is until I get some gearbox arrangements made.

Come on Trumpeter 1/16 SU-100!

So I was a tad drunk Sunday night and decided to snoop around the 1:16 shops for the first time this year. I stumbled upon the HL ZTZ-99 and purchased it blindly with my paypal balance. I've since been cruising the usual boards, but am unable to find much about this model. Anyone know it's flaws? Is there a review out there? Any word on a Russian turret conversion kit in the works?

I received my ZTZ-99 yesterday and have started the breaking in process. Pretty good runner after a bath in wd-40 and an hour of run time to grind the gears and loosen the tracks. Definitely needs 400 motors.

Tons of pics:

It seems from past posts that several members got the 1/16 King Tiger. Anyone done and repaints are customizing on them?

I noticed another paint scheme has been released which is a tan, white, brown scheme. I've got quite a few good reference books but have not been able to find anything similar. Anybody seen any pics similar to it?

i see there is a conversion kit to make the HL KV-1 into a German KV-2. How difficult would it be to make this turret into a Russian KV-2 turret? Aside from the cupola, did the germans do any other mods? I think it would be a simple matter to leave the german cupola off, or cut it off and then use the hatch from the KV-1 in its place.

if anyone is interested, the KV-2 turret i posted in the link above, the German conversion one, is made of plastic and is pre-assembled, with only small details to be added. It is made from the same plastic as the Heng Long KV-1 tank and i presume is the same colour as well.
