Proboat RC PT Boat - Any thoughts?

I've seen these around on ebay and at a few online retailers and am considering getting one. It is pricey, but seems neat. My younger brother is into RC boats and its an area I'd like to dabble in, but the lack of many military models has kept me out thus far.
From what I can tell, the Proboat PT Boat model comes largely pre-built with only minor assembly required. It is about 40.75" in length and has a beam (width) of 10.6".
Does anyone have one of these and what are your thoughts? I'm guessing it is not 1:18 scale, but perhaps close...
Didn't board member RED have one of these?
Thanks for any insight

I'm pretty sure I saw one on this board, maybe not the same model, the one I saw was ~1/20 scale. Great looking boat. Theres a company that makes PBR's in 1/20 also but it comes with a hefty fee:

tman.....that PT boat is 1/24 scale and i think it is the same on Red has. It looks quite nice from pics i've seen of it....Red did a diorama shoot with one, you can see some close ups of it in the customs forum...it was the one with the downed Hellcat pilot.
There is a 1/20 pt boat by Dumas....4 feet long, 13 inches wide. It's a kit but i was able to get a built up on ebay several years ago. The kit runs about $300 iirc...the one i got cost about the same but was a bit of a fixer upper...nothing major though, very happy with it. Quite nice if you can ever find one.
That PBR is neat too, but the price is steep for a 19 inch long model. Somebody buy one so we can get a review.

wow, that pt boat in the ebay link of the F18 thread looks to be exactly 1/18. Very cool. I wonder how good it looks in person. A bit steep in price but one could probably get it for $100 less using 'best offer'. Most sellers will flex 20% on price, otherwise not much point in using best offer.
