Have to share this with friends who would understand the awesomeness of my score today!
Came home from the studio this evening to find that UPS delivered a care package from AllGo Toys. Fun I thought. I anxiously opened 2 boxes to reveal the following:
2 Tender Terror P-51D Mustang "shell planes" (WOW)
1 Me-262 nightfighter
1 Super Cobra (NICE)
and drum roll... 1 Tropical Me-109e! (been wanting one of those ever since we heard of the 1 mysterious sample that made it's way into the public. SPEECHLESS) -side note: I think John Lumley owns the only other one of these, making this one of 3 in the hands of private collectors. I'm honored.
Totally made my week! Thanks AllGo!

Very cool of them to do that!
The trop 109 however is now "1 of 4".
I have the first one, the one that got out during the active club years & found it's way on ebay in april of 2005. The larger more clear pic on the sshq database is actually a pic of mine. The second was bought by John L. from 21st under their "chadburdock" id in oct of 2009, and the 3rd was sold on ebay under their "marshal..." id a few months ago. Makes me wonder how many of these were actually done.

That is really cool!
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Let me hear your guns!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: My what?
Colonel "Madman" Maddox: Your guns! Ack, ack, ack, ack, ack!
Captain Wild Bill Kelso: [fires his airplane's guns] AHHHH!

Ah, I missed the other one sold on eBay. Ok so, 4 in private collections now must leave 2 more back at AllGo? I'll have to dig up a month old email I have that says exactly how many there are but 6 seemed to stick in my head... I'll double check.

Just showing their appreciation for all his years as their voice and fan club pres. He has been with them since the 21st days. Pretty nifty they did that and some awesome stuff to boot!

Sorry I just don't understand, is All-go in business or is this 21st Century showing their support for past work?
It would really help if All-go would update their website and let the general public know what they are doing.

All fair questions. AllGo appears to be doing very little to nothing from our vantage point. So I understand the frustration as it would obviously be great to see some new projects release.
It's not the same days as the old 21c empire but they are trying to regroup... I don't have the access to them on a semi daily basis like in the old days so it only feels that much slower.
My last communication with them was that the A-10 was with Skyworks and that there was obviously some improvements needing to be made. (the past 6 weeks or so we have seen the evidence of this from skyworks). I've only been told that there is a plan in the works and a strong desire to work through the issues and get into production. I have been told that resources and data are being conducted silently in the background and more time was required to just let thing "run it's course"
Honestly, I think it's still going to be while longer before we see any fruit from the labor. Likely 2011 I suspect.
The care package was a thanks for some work I had performed for AllGo earlier in the year. Mostly concerning some production art and so on surrounding Passion Wagon. It was nice of them to send me these is all.

tko211 the next time you talk with AllGo can you ask them if they are ever going to make Figures?
Thanks.

TKO, that's great you deserve it!!
Ya knew this was coming...if you do get a chance to speak with All-Go, would you ask about any intel on the King Tiger and Jagdpanther.
Thanks, Normandy.
Oh could you post some pics of your care package?

I believe it would go a long way for them to update their website to reflect what they have in mind with these future projects, at this point all I see is Skyworks working on a A-10.
Tease the Armour crowd with a few more shots of that Kingtiger, show the public that they are in business and just not a website that comes and goes.

Way to go TKO211. Thats an awasome surprise to come home to. I also feel you deserve some perks for your past commits. You have always been a straight shooter and I look for your post everyday. Keep up the good work.

How you doing? Seems like forever ago that I met you at the NY Toy Fair with 21C. Ah, the good old days!

Great score!
It was a nice gesture to acknowledge you for your efforts..
BTW, if you ever get a chance, can you ask them where the 1/32 planes are? Molds, etc?

Great point hworth.
I would love to see some other releases of the 1/32 line.
In particular the Corsair, and Spitfire.

I think some of the 32x molds are secured by AllGo. I just don't know which ones. All focus is on an initial 1:18 aircraft release and then access the strategy of the KT or JP... well that was the plan several months ago. Things might have changed and might continue to change. It's all a big waiting game right now.
AllGo was nice to send me the care package. I knew something was coming and I had specifically asked about the me-109 trop. I didn't fully expect the subjects / schemes I was given. Like I said, it made my week!
As for putting up with anyone... it's no biggie. We are all fans which means we are passionate about our hobby, including me. So the minor bumps I might take every once in a great while are no big deal to me and really even when those happen folks are still pretty respectful and understanding. I'm still just a messenger and I'm only as good as the company will let me be when they decide to tell me stuff or ask my advise.
I would sure love it for us and for them if they could get a product lined up, produced and sell well. It would be the shot in the arm that we all need to know 1:18 might still be alive as well. Even if it's more niche now.
