I emailed BBI inquiring about if or ever they would reproduce the F-16/18 and I got a e-mail back that said they were looking into producing more the first part of 2011. Is this believable?

It's a long shot but I think BBI may be waiting on the sale results of the JSI F-14's to get a better gauge of how popular these planes will sell.

I imagine they are just looking at the economic climate, trying to figure out of the marketplace is ready to support another production run of an item that a lot of collectors already have.
They would probably do a production run right now if any retailer was willing to support it, but no retailer is right now for the obvious reason that it is a major risk in this climate.
It is for this same reason that All-Go! is having difficulties getting an initial project off of the ground. Make no mistake that pre-orders for the $100 Passion Wagon were likely dismal (certainly if my experience is any indication).
Companies just aren't willing to make things that people don't want to buy, which amounts to nothing less than common sense on their part.

I would like to think there is a huge difference between a $100 Mustang repaint and an F-16 or F-18 repaint, but I could be wrong. I think it also depends on how much bbi would charge for a new F-16 or F-18 paint scheme. Maybe they feel they would have to charge more than $200 to make a profit. If that's the case I would be hesitant as well because that would drive away the average customer.

Well I already have a F-18 and might get another if the sceme was cool but I dont have a F-16 and would get that in a heartbeat if the price was reasonable.

I suspect like many of you if the economic climate changes for the better there's a fair chance they would produce them again.

figuring they could get TRU to carry a BBI item, they should be able to re-release both the F-18 and F-16 for the same price it was before.
60$
They already paid off the molds with the first run that sold out, so It should be in theory cheaper then originally released. However I would be happy to pick up a F-16 or a Blackhawk ( in black ) for $60 as they were before.
The Blackhawk is an easy bet, in black it would sell more then in the Green, mainly due to the commercialization of the black hawks from many movies, most noticeable Black Hawk Down.

But the labor situation has changed a bit in china since then workers are demanding more pay.
If they released them I bet it would be close to 100 dollars....Just a guess

I doubt that BBI would do a re-release of these right now.Given the economic climate.
And even if they did,I think that it would be at least $100.
Not to be selfish, but I kind of wish that they didn't do another release at this point.
